Jason celebrates his (our) birthday in style
After a 10 day trip in Canada Jason is back in UK in time to celebrate his birthday
Jason posing for the camera.
Stephanie, Jason's girlfriend, had been e-mailing me for a few days trying to find out if a snowboarding injury to his shoulder would prevent him being able to take part in a windtunnel flight. On a couple of occasions I had to stop Jason from reading my e-mails over my shoulder. What a great surprise birthday present!
Stephanie has a go too.
So did both my parents, but only my dad's photo came out - sorry about that mum!
I mentioned that we did a firewalk last week, but never got around to adding any photos. I realise this has nothing to do with paragliding, but here are the photos anyway! Oh and I should mention, I was the first person across the fire (naturally).
Video of our fire walk
This fire had been burning for a couple of hours and generated a nice amount of insulating ash.
With a flash this would look like a pile of smouldering, grey ash, but at night the glow makes it look even hotter. Jason helped rake it flat. Let's hope there are no nails in there :)
Jason took this photo of me. Not the best framed shot in the world...
The flash really kills the glow of the fire, but I promise you it looked toasty warm! You can just about see a smidgen of red glow near my foot.
