Went flying today - awesome! Video here
For November the weather was simply unbelievable. Andre got a new student in the air, Reg, on his first day. He a had flown in from the west coast and was very lucky to get such a great day of training in so late in the year.
I worked with Dan, who is polishing off his forward and reverse techniques.
Dan is a master at living in comfort. He and his wife Nat always bring a table loaded with food a couple of chairs. Nice one, good spread!
He had three flights and tons of ground handling practice. Ian also turned up with his homebuilt trike, which is a masterpiece. Andre flew it to test it out.
It seems to be fine, although the wing was a but tricky to handle during the inflation. No doubt, Ian will soon be flying the trike, now that he is confident that it works.
I was lucky to get a few short hops in the glider and got enough height to play with a wingover or two and a little spiral before getting back to the serious business of teaching again.
I guess this will be the last flying for a while.
We had a lot of fun. Conditions were really smooth so Andre was able to do some low flying.
After working up a sweat we were all pretty tired so we packed up all the gear into Andre`s trailer and headed off to Dora`s for a beer.
