Runeys

Runeys are playful spirits that inhabit Trampoli. They are divided into four elemental types (grass, tree, stone, and water), each with a distinctive appearance.

If you cultivate the land then more of these peaceful spirits will appear. You can capture Runeys by using an item called a 'Harvester'. Once in the Harvester, they will appear as items in your rucksack, until they are again released.

  • Grass Runeys live in wide open areas. These spirits do not prey on any other type of Runey and when their numbers grow too large they will own suddenly deplete without any explanation. They are eaten by Tree Runeys, and don't eat any other runeys.
  • Tree Runeys prey on Grass Runey and live in the wild forests of Trampoli. There are often very great numbers of these types of Runeys. They eat Grass Runeys and are eaten by Rock Runeys.
  • Rock Runeys eat Tree Runeys and live near buildings. These Runeys do not reproduce often. They eat Tree Runeys and are eaten by Water Runeys.
  • Water Runeys live near the beaches and lakes of Trampoli and eat Rock Runeys. There aren't many of these Runeys. They eat Rock Runeys and are not eaten by any other type of Runeys.

Prosperity and Extinction

Prosperity is achieved by amassing thirty-five of each type of Runey in any given area of the map. When an area is in prosperity, water, rock, and tree runey counts will increase rapidly and never decrease, and grass runeys will decrease by two each day. The area will appear orange on the distribution map accessible in the Clock Tower.

Conversely, the Extinction state is reached when there are fewer than four of each type of Runey in a given area. The area will appear red on the distribution map. When an area is completely extinct (no runeys of any type) it will appear black.

Having more areas in prosperity will make the crops grow more quickly. However, having any areas in the extinction state (appearing red or black) causes crops to grow extremely slowly and randomly die. This applies both to crops grown on your own fields and in dungeons, so be careful.
