Crops (Harvest Moon: SNES)

You can purchase crops from Liz at the flower shop in town, where the stock changes depending on the season. There are only four crops in total, none of which can be grown in Fall or Winter. Seeds fall in a 3x3 square around you, covering nine squares in total. Crops need to be watered every day, and can be damaged by natural disasters.

You are able to buy grass from Spring to Fall for 500g. Grass doesn't need to be watered, grows in 10 days and regrows in 7. Once grown, it can be cut to feed your livestock. It remains dormant in Winter but begins growing again in Spring.
