Daily Schedule
She's on the second floor of the bath house from 6AM to 2:59 PM, on the first floor from 3PM to 11PM, and then returns to the second floor. On sunny Wednesdays, she is at the beach from 9AM to 3PM. On sunny Fridays, she is in front of the ruins from 9AM to 3PM.
Friendship Points
Talk to her to raise her FP. Take a bath every day (or as often as you can) to raise her LP. Baths are cheap (10G). Giving her lots of cookies on the Spring Thanksgiving day will raise her LP very quickly. Accepting chocolate from her on the Winter Thanksgiving day will raise her LP by one. Talking to her on the Sacred Night will raise her LP by two (probably), and inviting her on a date on the Moon Viewing day will raise her LP by two.
Proposal
On any Friday (it doesn't matter how many hearts of LP Melody has) talk to Melody while she's outside the ruins. She'll mention that she and Sharron are good friends. That night, go to the inn and talk to Sharron (around 9:10PM). Sharron too will mention their friendship, and say that Melody, despite her happy and cheerful exterior, is actually quite lonely. She suggests that you go talk to Melody and hear her out. From then on, when you talk to Melody on the second floor of the bath house, Melody will talk about personal matters with you. Once you have met the general marriage requirements and have Melody at 10 LP and FP, Melody will admit that she is in love with you. Say you love her too to propose. Here's a (very rough) translation of the dialogue, or at least the meaning of the dialogue, when you propose. (The main character is "Laguna," since that seems to be the most popular way to romanize his Japanese default name.)
Melody: Laguna... I can't lie about my feelings any more. ....I love you.... Truly.
(Option 1: "I love you, too.")
(Option 2: "I love the bath.")
Choose option 1, otherwise Melody will be pretty angry!
Melody: R, really?
Laguna: Yes.
Melody: Really, you're okay with me?
Laguna: Yeah.
Melody: I'm so happy! Laguna, is it OK for me to stop feeling so lonely now?
Laguna: Yes. From now on, we'll always be together.
Melody: I... Finally.... Finally I am part of a family. Laguna, I love you....
From here, you go to the ceremony.
After you are married, Melody will give you curry udon each morning.
