Though this was only the first HM game, there are still plenty of villagers that you can befriend. Below is a list of the villagers, as well as a small description on each.

Contents

You

Default name jack, you have left your parents and moved into the country and bought some land, your goal is to become the master rancher!

Your Mum

Your mum doesn’t want to leave you alone at the start and is crying, but at the end of the game she is happily talking to her daughter-in-law. You only ever see her at the intro and at the end.

Your dad

Your dad is proud to see you go off and try to be a farmer and comes back at the end to see how well you have done, and even though he might look like he is telling you off he is congratulating you.

The Shipper

The first person you meet, he will come at 5:00 pm everyday to pick up any thing in the shipping bin. He spends most his time in the bar.

The Shipping Apprentice

Second person you meet, he will bring you to the town in his truck and ask you to talk to everyone. His main goal is to become the head shipper.

Nina’s mother

Nina’s mother owns the florists and will give you your watering can the first day. Her husband probably died or he left her.

Nina

Nina has pink hair and is a total flower lover. One of the girls you can marry. If you want to know more go to the “girls” section.

The Priest

The pastor owns the church and will sometimes have ceremonies though you can’t hear him.

The Priest’s grandson

The pastor’s grandson is a little kid that hangs around the church, at the start of the game he will have a crush on Maria but then starts liking the fortune teller’s granddaughter. He will also perform your marriage ceremony.

Maria

Maria is very religious and is the daughter of the mayor and the mayor’s wife. One of the girls you can marry. If you want to know more go to the “girls” section.

The Mayor

He is the mayor of the town and hosts all the festivals, he is very rich and is the father of Maria

The Mayor’s wife

She is very proud of her daughter Maria, she likes sitting in front of the fireplace reading a lot and helps her husband host the events.

Visitor

This guy is just a visitor that sometimes comes on festivals and is at the town square on your first day, he is another guy like you and thinks its cool how your parents left and you keep your ranch all to yourself.

Eve

Eve works at the bar and is kind of a wild girl who loves berry juice. One of the girls you can marry. If you want to know more go to the “girls” section.

The Bartender

Eve’s Uncle, who works at the bar, not much is said about him, looks kind of like a tough guy!

Ellen’s mom

Ellen’s mom owns the bakery and doesn’t like animals that much since she wont let Ellen have a pet dog in the house, she’s a nice person overall and likes food a lot.

The Drunk

The drunk is most of the time at the bakery or the bar, many people think he is Ellen’s dad but that is not true.

Ellen

Ellen loves sweets and baking, and is mad about animals. One of the girls you can marry. If you want to know more go to the “girls” section.

Ann’s dad

Ann’s dad is a nice guy and is really shy, he hopes ann. will grow up to be a good craftsperson like him and is secretly in love with Nina’s dad, if you marry Ann in the ending Nina’s mom and Ann’s dad get together.

Ann

Ann loves building things like her dad and spends most her time working on an odd machine which keeps blowing up in her face. One of the girls you can marry. If you want to know more go to the “girls” section.

Ellen’s Uncle

Ellen’s uncle owns the livestock shop which would explain why Ellen loves animals so much. He gives you a packet of grass the first day.

The Fortune teller

The fortune teller keeps a book about marriage and girls and sometimes she may tell your fortune.

The Fortune teller’s granddaughter

The fortune teller’s granddaughter wants to be just like her grandma, and her grandma often tells her story about a goddess hidden in the mountains...

The Peddler

The peddler is only there on Sundays and you can sell him stuff that would cost less when you ship them. He might also sell you special stuff on certain occasions, for more info go to the “peddler” section.

The Hawker

The hawker might appear sometimes when you want to sell your animals and he is very shady and suspicious looking person but might help you out once or twice in the things he gives you

Eve’s Grandfather

Eve’s grandfather is a hunter and doesn’t like going to town, he is most of his time at the mountains.

The 5 Carpenter Brothers

Talk to them when you want to expand your house, they live in a tree and will come to your house for an estimate when you want an extension, you have to ask them first though.

The Fisherman

The fisherman lives right next to the pond in a tent and will let you use his fishing rod for free.

The Harvest Sprites

These cool little creatures will help you out sometimes though you wont meet them until something special happens!
