Marriage (Harvest Moon: Magical Melody)

If you want to get married, first of all you must have upgraded your house to level 3, then you must buy a double bed, and finally the girl (or boy) you like must have 8 or more hearts. Once you do so, Mayor Teodol will come by your house the next day and mention that a strange feather has been blown onto the tall summit at the tip of the mountain, you agree to climb up the steep hill and retrieve it for him. You will engage into a small climbing mini game (As you do whenever climbing summit) and once you reach the top you are rewarded with a blue feather. The Mayor will cheer happily with you and confetti will fall, and you also recieve a happiness tone.
WARNING: DO NOT LOOK BEYOND THIS POINT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE SPOILERS!
If your girl (or boy) has 8 or more hearts, then just walk up to them and give them the blue feather, its as easy as that. If they dont have 8 or more hearts they probably wont take it. The next day, you hear bells ring and you automatically engage in an event in the lake summit. Your friends are lined up on the sides and the mayor waits patiently while you and your wife (in nice white suits and dresses) walk up to the mayor. The mayor will ask you if you do (you actually have a choice) and then you both kiss. As you part the villagers will cheer and jump up in the air as more confetti falls.
