I love you z-one! - 9th August 2005 - View the entire paragliding news archive |
That's it then.... the trip to Annecy is now a fading memory and I am back in St Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
Having paid the excess baggage to the tune of 120 pounds ($260 Canadian dollars) I am keen to make use of it. I have been eying up the Niagara escarpment ever since I moved here from the UK. It is the closest thing to a hill for miles around and I know there are paragliders that fly the escarpment in sunny Hamilton.
Andre finds it very amusing every time we pass a clearing in the escarpment, on our way to the Sodom Road training field where we teach powered paragliding. I always tell hill I am going to fly that little sucker as soon as I get my paraglider back to Canada.
Well now that I have it I am waiting for a reply to an e-mail I have sent to the local golf club that owns the land. If they give me the green light the next brisk North Westerly will see me soaring the Royal Niagara Golf Club!
Until then I am grounded. Andre returns on the 15th of August and I am busying myself for my first ever paid unicycle parade work! I am spending my evenings practicing on my 6ft giraffe unicycle (which is very tricky to mount). I have just over a week to look like I know what I am doing.
The holiday diary is now up to Day three and I am waiting for more photos from Jason.
Lots to do
Here's a link to the holiday diaries Jason....

Oh yeah, and those pics you sent me
