Fly in 2004 - August 22nd 2004 - View the entire paragliding news archive |
Not arriving until 11am (I was a little tired after a night listening to Andre farting in the tent!) I am not sure what I missed on Sunday morning. By 11am though the wind was picking up and few people were still in the air. Conditions started to be strong. The majority of people were 'flown out' so were quite happy just to take it easy and relax. We were treated to an aerial display again as a plane (maybe the same one?) looped and rolled in what were now becoming strong conditions for us.
As the afternoon progressed it was clear that the conditions were too strong. Most had called it a day and headed back home, but the few that remained headed off to watch some guys drag racing ski-doos over dirt and water. Quite impressive, until you stop in the middle of the water and sink your machine. All in all the weekend was a whole lot of fun and a chance to catch up with all the great people that make flying powered paragliders such good fun. I look forward to the next one |
