With the weather forecast calling for increasingly strong winds throughout the weekend, morning flying is the only way to go. Andre called me on Friday evening to discuss the forecast and suggest a morning flight. Originally scheduling 7:30 am he decided to change it to a slightly more reasonable 8am. We arrived at our St Catharines field at a little after 8:15am. Andre was in the air in record time, but I took a little longer. The progress over land was extremely slow, so we took the opportunity to test the new radio helmets. They are finally working really well after a series of improvements made by Andre. After we had been flyingfor around thirty minutes Andre decided to call it a day. He radioed me to tell me he was going to land, so I suggested he get the video camera ready for some filming. He missed my poor attempts at wingovers, but managed to film a nice
litttle spiral into the landing field.
