This multi-award winning documentary is definitely a `must have` for all pilots. It details the birth of a new devolpment in paragliding that combines paragliding and falconry to create `Parahawking`. Professional production values shine through in this, the first of what I am sure will be many films from the Scott Mason, Sunrise Paragliding and the Himalayan Frontiers team. It would not look out of place on National Geographic or the Discovery channel. Everything about this film is polished and the result is an inspiring and intriguing look at the work of a dedicated team of pilots, falconers and film makers whose joint effort has created a landmark film. The film begins with an introduction to the team, detailing their respective backgrounds and their shared passions for flight and adventure. We are also introduced to the real stars of the film - Shadoko and Sappana, orphaned Pariah kite chicks rescued by the team and trained as the first ever Parahawks. | The film charts the progress of the birds and the team as they break new ground and push the frontiers of a totally new experience. We are given a glimpse of the stunning surroundings in which they train and the dedication and hours of hard work that go into making the dream a reality. This is truly an inspiring and captivating film, the sort of film that leaves you wanting more.
This film sits right near the top of my flying video collection.
