Now that the evenings are drawing in I no longer get the opportunity to fly after work.
Instead I often look through some of the hours of paragliding and paramotoring (powered paragliding) footage I have accumulated over the years.
These two clips made me smile. You know how it feels to be scratching around in very marginal lift, desperately trying to claw your way back up to the top of the ridge. Well here are two clips from my flying days in Wales (recognise the sites?) where I managed to scrape my way back up the hill and top land before the wind died off forcing some unlucky sods to slope land or land at the bottom and slog their way back up.

I miss those trips to Wales, such a great place to fly when the weather cooperates. |
