Some of the first errands are easy, finding some kind of bug, or mint and so on, it's mostly possible to fulfill the errands with foraging on the mountain. But darn, I just don't get what some of the errands actually ARE! Would be much easier if I knew, but I'll manage somehow.
Well, if you fulfill them, you get other items as payment, chicken food or other things. Does anyone know what the festivals mean? There are a lot in the summer, in spring there only seems to be valentines day (or whatever it was called) and in the winter theres the other... valentines day thingy, christmas and new year's eve. And where the helk are the cooking competitions being held? I walked around the town and in the mayors house for the whole day and there was... nothing at all. I so miss the goddess festival, it was always my fav T_T |

And there's a list of the festivals and birthdays here: http://fogu.com/hmforum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=126117 |

I wish I could help but my game won't be here til next week. I seem to remember reading somewhere on Fogu that you have to level out the land or something. Trying using your hammer if you have it. Probably won't do anything but it's worth a shot.

If it's anything like GBC3 was with irrigation, then you need to be near water or a certain spot while you do it. :/ I'll see if I can't figure it out once my copy gets here. (Hopefully within five or six days...) |

It's good to know that people are really loving this game so far. It has even started to take my attention away from RF3 even though that game is coming out first. I can't wait to try this game it sounds like so much fun.

At least this way you know you have something to forward to. I love being able to learn about Harvest Moon games way before they come out in English, but it makes the wait seem so much longer. |

I did manage~ you have to press A and then press the up pad (if you walk in that direction) kind of together with the A Button. It's kind of a timing question :3 I had to practice a few times >_> walk from down to up~ it's easier...at least for me |

I got my game. Pretty fun so far. I haven't done any festivals yet but I did get my horse. My only problem is that you have to hold down the L button to run. I liked it how it was in Wind's Bazaar where you could just press L and you could toggle between running and walking. Still, I'm having fun. I chose Konohana because I like crops better.
Edit: Nevermind that first edit. I figured out he starts selling crops shortly after 10. |

That furrow thing sounds kind of complicated...
Anyways, I wish I could play already! But I will wait for the English version so I can actually understand everything. I also don't like how you have to hold down the L button to run, that doesn't make sense, especially since it worked well in WB. |

I'm loving this game quite a bit. This is actually the first game in a long while that I actually want to raise crops. (I used to be an animal farmer but now I'm enjoying growing crops a lot more). I haven't felt this way with a game since the GB/GBC/FoMT games. Heck, I don't even care about marriage in this game. But then again marriage is at least optional in this game. Unlike some of the games I own where its basically telling you "you need to get married in order to complete this game".

Dragon Star, I know what you mean. Twin Villages is making me want to grow crops and that has not happened in a long time. I even like the main story line in this game, trying to make two towns come together is pretty cool and I can't wait to see why they don't like each other.

I believe on the 5th or 6th day, the mayor(in Konohana anyway) will teach you how to make furrows. They're kinda difficult to make. It's easiest not to attempt making furrows until you have the hammer. Dunno if it's been said but I think Licorice lives with Zauri(he was in her house). Sona lives with her granddaughter Mao(shes so freaking cute), Nana lives with Gonbe(I think), Ilsa lives with her son Ryui. Kilik(who sells Pets) and Shen Lo both live alone. Useless info I know but I wanted to share it.
Edit: Epona, they don't like eachother because of their different cooking styles. |

That's kind of a silly reason to dislike the town next to you, but it is interesting and original. It seems like there is going to be a lot of competition in this game. Sounds good to me.
