I am super-dee-duper excited about Animal Parade. It just looks lush and gorgeous and fun and AWESOME. Of all the games I want for the holidays, it tops my list. But money's tight for me right now, so I'm going to have to wait for Christmas too, Zen. I feel your pain. And it's cool that Perry got a promotion, so to speak. Did he really have a personality in TOT?

And wow Zen Clarke, Christmas!? How will you be able to hold out that long??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) Ahhhh, young padawon, I am trained in the ancient art of patience. *bows* ...MONKEY, WHERE IS MY LATTE!??!?!?! I ORDERED IT THREE MINUTES AGO!!!!!!!!!!! Sunny D: I don't think anyone took time to get to know if he had personality or not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I didn't. I feel a little bad. But I avoided the medic for the most part anyway.... |

To be honest I really didn't pay much attention to him either, but I'm pretty sure he didn't act all holy...

I'm going to start saving next month, since I'm not a good saver myself and must have money backed up to buy it when it releases exactly.
Cherryblossom, I'm 1000000000000% with you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Especially up to the Japanese Version, I was going to get it. But... I thought getting the english version would be worth the wait. And because... I'm saving for a new phone too since mine is broken. x3 And I'm not sure about Perry either, but I think he was just one of those 'shy guys' and/or 'obedient ones'. x3 (Highstrung is the word? Not sure... Not sure at all. ^^') |

I've got about $70 saved in my wallet. I don't plan on spending ANY of it until I buy the game.

Perry, I think, basically just idolized Dr. Won -- oops, Jin -- and that was pretty much the only facet of his personality in ToT.
This time, he actually plays a part in the story. :D Finally got to that part today (And met the Witch! I love her even more now, after watching her introduction.). Spoilers, Perry's a scaredy-cat~ I've been on a spree, and now I've got about $5. I'll probably get the American version eventually, but now I've got way too many games to play (I got Pokemon: Soul Silver today! I named the main character Mai, because her goofy pigtails reminded me of Maya.) and not enough time to play them. I do plan to get it eventually, though; I want to understand everything that's being said, instead of basically making up the dialogue as I go (which is buckets of fun in its own right). x_o My Japanese is enough to get through the game, but not to understand everything. Also, they put the important stuff in bright colors, which is helpful. |

I'll probably be spending birthday money on Animal Parade - seeing as how the current release date is the day before my birthday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)
I find people's impatience surprising though. I was happy when it got pushed back! It bumped it right up next to my birthday! |

Always looking on the bright-side!
Unless I'm playing a frustrating video games, then I just want to throw my game console. I confine myself to simply screaming my head off though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) |

I find it hard to look on the bright side when it comes to things I want so badly T__T Especially when I have exams around that time...Oh well, I guess there's nothing I can do but wait and complain, wait and complain...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) But I don't think I'll be able to make it >__< I'll probably crack before then and end up buying the Japanese Version, and play it so much that I'll be bored of the game before the English one comes out! Noooooo! I have to hold back!! |

On the note about buying the Japanese version: You guys know you'd need a Japanese Wii or special modification to play it, right?

Yep, that's all taken care of with a certain hack...lol, but I kinda wish I couldn't buy the Japanese one. That way I wouldn't feel so tempted to buy it >__<

Even 'safe' hacks can mess up your system. I wouldn't mess with them myself.
But, what's the point of playing a game you can't understand? You wouldn't be able to read any of the cute love lines the bachelor/ettes have! |

Lol, I've already done it and it works fine :)
But yeah, the love lines is why I'm going to wait for the English version <3. Even though I can still play the Japanese version of the game, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it as much. |

Day 47
In Tree of Tranquility everyone didn't have a rival, but now in Animal Parade everyone has one. All of the original rivals remain, but the new ones are: Gil and Luna Luke and Selena Owen and Cathy. There are four people that don't have rivals though. These are the special spouses which means they are not like the other normal townspeople. They are: The Wizard The Witch The Harvest King The Harvest Goddess |

Does the fact that I'm going to marry whoever I want regardless of the fact that someone's going to end up alone and childless make me cruel? The rival kiddes are adorable, but not enough to keep me from getting what I want. (Which is actually Luke/Gill/Jin/Chase/Julius/Owen/Toby/Calvin in that order. And the Wizard and Harvest King. And throw Gray in there too. But there's no polygamy cheat, huh?)
And Luke/Kathy makes more sense to me than Owen/Kathy. I'm just sayin'. |

See I actually see Kathy and Owen together because in ToT they had a thing between each other and they always mentioned one another. And no it's ok, I also felt really bad that one rival kid wouldn't be born, but then I realised that I really do want to marry Candace. The reason I don''t want to marry one of the special eople is because: 1. The witch seems to be unkown to the other villagers and I want to have a big wedding with other villagers there, not one in the middle of the night with just us two, 2. I want my spouse to actually live with me.

You've got to be careful with hacks and mods; some foreign games contain firmware updates that will try to install on your Wii and brick it if you don't do some kind of voodoo ritual to prevent it from installing. @_@ I looked it up once; it's nightmarishly complicated. As for me, I'm keeping my firmware up to date and checking every foreign game I buy for firmware updates.
Otherwise, the Twilight Princess hack, as far as I've heard, works swimmingly (shame it won't work on the Wii if its firmware is up to date). As for me, I've got a Wiikey 2, which I did have to solder (there is a solderless version, but I think it was more expensive, and we do have a family soldering iron and solder at all times), but it's worked without disaster so far. I've already got the Witch up to three hearts. o_o I think her affection rises faster than the other villagers; with Tamtam Mushrooms and rubbing and talking every day, I've managed one heart every four days; other villagers take about six. Wonder if the Wiz works the same way. Lumi, Pat, and Gil are among my top favorite marriage candidates, but I probably won't ever marry them because Vivian and Heath are just plain awesome (Can't wait to meet them in this game~ Have to wait to get tomatoes to flirt with Gil, though.). Pretty much any of the other rival kids are fair game, though, in future files. I get to meet them all first time around. :D<3 And I could never marry the God or Goddess, same reason as Zboy: I want my spouse to live with me. I want a minion-- I mean, a lunchbox-- er... a loving spouse to cuddle with? |
