So I should be able to gain a heart with someone by giving them a gift they love for 10 days? That's not too long I guess(I'm rather impatient). Also Perin is the priest(I think he's called Perry in the English version of ToT, where he wasn't a priest, but I go by the Japanese names).

Ohhhh!!! Yeah, I really need to get his hearts up in ToT...I feel bad for him and Bo...I always ignore them...LOL!
But yeah, that may be the case. So, you could be working on getting several peoples' hearts up at around the same time (if you have enough money. If you're struggling with that, you could try focusing on someone who's kinda hard to shop for and someone who is happy to get a common shell. x3). In a little under a year, you could have several people up to ten hearts. :] |

What I heard is that .. (from Syvle)
Like gift : 3 heart point Love gift: 9 heart point Talking: 1 heart point 2P trick: 9 heart point (two jumps) I am not sure if it is true, but Syvle from Ushi no Tane who managed to get most bachelors and bachelorettes to 10 hearts before year 1 ends, told me that she use that trick and it helps alot. I am using it, it is not 'too much hasle' for me really.. as I just need to shake the controller till the person jump twice.. You can also use it on pets.. I tried using it on cows, chicken and ducks, but it doesnt do the trick.. So it is only human and pets.. :) |

I've been using it on my pets, livestock, baby, and villagers. It seems to be cutting the time to gain a heart down from about 10 days to approximately 6-7 days. To me that helps a lot. Especially since people only accept one gift.
There was this trick in ToT. It went more by points than number of gifts. So if you found something they absolutely hate, it was -5 points. If you stood there and gave them 200 gifts they hate, it made you able to give them equal a number of points worth of gifts in a day, but once their points get to 0 it doesn't go down any farther! So if you give someone 200 gifts they hate, you can then in the same day give them 100 gifts they love and get them up to 10 hearts in one day. But you have to be careful because some gifts they hate are only -3, or -2 depending on the gift. And it's pretty funny listening to them whine after the 50th nasty gift. I don't remember who, I think it was Selena calls you a jerk. But I married Gil in the first Spring doing that trick. |

THAT is awesome. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I think I'll only use the controller trick once a week on people. I dunno, somehow it feels like its cheating...

^ You need to be super pacient though. A normal day takes around 30 mins to complete properly, it may take around 40-45mins with the P2 controler.

I don't even know if buying a second controller is worth it. They're like $40 at my local wal-mart. And it takes me about 30 minutes to complete a day but sometimes takes more when I mess up(like when I accidentally bought 20,000 gold worth of tickets to Ootori Island, the island where Shiela's parents live).

Still, that is a bit annoying to have a buy a ticket from Oz to go there. |

Isn't everything in this game more expensive? Stuff felt really cheap in ToT as compared to the other handheld HM's so I guess they just made it average.

The ToT trick only works if you have loads of money. I did it the third or fourth game. I mostly wanted to see if it was possible to have a child born before I finished the storyline, so I wanted to get married within a couple weeks of starting, which I did. I still didn't have a grown child until almost end of 2nd year. That's one thing I love about EAM. The kids grow so fast, you can actually use them. The game isn;t over before you get a chance to have them help on the farm.

I just had something strange happen. I was playing the game and it was the day after the circus. I had gotten the giraffe to go back to the circus on the day before and had tried to get the elephant as well but I could find him. So, on the day after I went about my day normally. Then I did something strange. After coming out of Tam Tam forest, I took my whistle and used it. And what happens? I get the event with Theodore's lost elephant, the day AFTER the circus. I reset, got bread, got the event again, and gave him the bread. And the next day I got a letter from Theodore probably telling me the elephant came back and telling me of the last missing animal(It was SOS 3). Anyway, I thought you could only find the animals on the day of the circus?

QUOTE I mostly wanted to see if it was possible to have a child born before I finished the storyline Trust me, I've had my kid for quite some time now and haven't finished the storyline. Though, I suppose it's not completely accurate, considering I had to waste a whole year, waiting for Winter, because I hadn't realized that I was supposed to get for Alan's recipe was a flower, not a Green Bell pepper...>-< As for your question, ♥twilight♥, I would recommend Julius. He's a lot more fun than Chase, in my opinion, anyway. |

Chase is cuter, but all he talks about is food. All the time. And when I was trying to find the sapling he said, "If I can't use it as an ingredient I'm not interested." I found that very rude, especially to say to his wife!

QUOTE I found that very rude, especially to say to his wife! LOL! Oh, wow, that's harsh. Yeah, whenever I decide to stop and talk to Chase, I always get a sense of sarcasm/rudeness, which is why I don't really like him too much. Plus, I hate the fact that in the rival scenes with him and Mai, he's really mean to her. Maybe it's just me. But Julius is usually pretty nice to me, so I like him. |

Plus, I hate the fact that in the rival scenes with him and Mai, he's really mean to her. Maybe if she wasn't so R-tarded he wouldn't have to be mean to her. They made her really shallow in ToT. I mean, she wanted to marry him because she liked his cooking skills. I would be really ticked off if someone wanted to marry me because I did the laundry well or something. At least in EAM she has more depth. |

Maya just overall ticks me off who would like her I mean shes all like chase is mine you can't have him and the way she looks ooh don't get me started I feel really sorry for chase because its like the only reason he married her was because she kept bothering him about it. I would punch her and tell her to get a life ahhh good times.♣
