1- are the rival events like the other DS games? like, you have to be in year 4 to get the last one? or more like ToT where you can get them whenever?

2- is it easy to get love points up?

3- is this game like IOH? cuz IOH was a major dissappointment to me (the only aspect of that game I liked was Lanna and Sabrina ><) and I dont want to get this one simply because I like Anemone.

1 - They're kind of like the DS games because I think there's a time frame, but the big difference is they will only activate if the marriage candidate is below a certain heart level. For example, when playing as a boy, the first Lloyd/Shelfer event will NEVER activate if Shelfer has more than one heart. The second event won't activate if Shelfer has more than 3-4 hearts, and so on... so I think they're really hard to get, because:

2 - ...it's extremely easy in this game I think. For example I've never given gifts to any bachelors but Schmidt but they all have a blue heart just from talking to them now and then. Which is why I can't get the rival events.

3 - No, I really really don't like IoH but I'm having a lot of fun with this game (aside from the occasional frustration with activating events...). The crop system is somewhat similar to IoH but it's much more lenient, so crops don't rot or wilt as often as they do in IoH, and they don't always grow at a snail's pace because of the unpredictable weather. (I've actually never encountered that problem so far in my file)

hm... well in that case I think I might get this. unless it comes out around the same time as EAM... then ill have to wait longer and by then there'll probably be a sequel or another one coming that looks better... sigh... so many new gmes coming, so many more to come, so little money and time. =[

thanks though Finny. I cant wait to hopefully get this game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)

I just made my biggest profit ever at the bazaar o_o

139,770G.

Yay!

(however... it seems like I'm a little further off than before from upgrading the bazaar... I wonder why that is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) )

Anyway, I found this very simple and easy G exploit...

All you need is for Mucho to be selling fodder, some money, and the third windmill unlocked.

GRASS SEEDS MAKE HUGE PROFITS.

It's just fertilizer + fodder. Put in 10 of each and it will pop out 20 bags of seeds in a couple days (you can have a few batches running at the same time). A 1.5 star bag sells for 540G at the bazaar. And it's fairly easy to make several stacks of 99. Dayum. They don't go bad, either. I couldn't even sell all of mine before time ran out.

I ALMOST did this, but I wasn't sure if I could sell them fast enough (forgot to mention I have had the 6 slots since summer Y1; You definitely need a lot to sell a lot...ok, that sounds dumb now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) )

Another one: You milk your cow once a day, right? Well, chances are you only get regular milk and MAYBE 1 miracle milk. Well, use that milk to make HOT MILK instead of cheese or yogurt. Hot milk sells around 650G where as Yogurt would go for 450 (5 Star normal milk; If it's miracle, make Yogurt because 5 star miracle yogurt gets around 2100+).

So, every week you make around 4-5000G off of milk. It's small, but easier and better than wasting time with the windmill.

Oh, and this sucks real bad, but you have to upgrade your hoe and watering can MULTIPLE TIMES. This will cost a lot of money.

Also, you can't cheat the bazaar. I tried. Anything you buy on a Bazaar day is UNSELLABLE.

Oh, and I have the normal fishing rod (4 star).

I'll post a more comprehensive update later, just posting this for now (and I got to have a new year in this game at the same time as real life).

Oh, and the reason why people's hearts go up EVEN when you don't give them anything is because of Festivals.

Anytime you when or participate in one where said person is involved, their friend points go up.

Example: Before the snowboard race, Shelfer had a purple heart with 2 hearts. I already gave her an herb salad before it, but her hearts stayed the same. When I won, she had a BLUE heart and after taking to everyone, I checked and saw she had 3 hearts and I gained one on Enju (who I didn't even talk to) and another on one of the twins.

two quick questions,

1- besides Kagetsu and Schmidt are all the candidates available from the beginning?

2- can Kagetsu be unlcoked any time by leaving your house after 9? or does it have to be beyond year 2 like ive heard?

1/1 on cellar

My Bazaar Stall has 9 slots.

Have 2 fishing rods.
Levels:
Default Rod: 3 hearts
Normal Rod: 1 heart (upgrade only did half a heart...>_>)
Watering Can: 1.5 hearts (standing does 3 in a row jumping does 3X3)

Have the big bed
Have all cooking equipment
Have had (at at least one point) every item Felix sells except the last fishing rod.

Snowboard/Skateboard times:

Well, I think that's everything.

Still can't figure out how to train my pets, though (unless it just takes forever).

Oh, and I saw Juris and Freiya's second cut scene (and Freiya's first. So now I've seen all of the female gray heart events).

I finally got the bazaar to 75%. I would recommend saving all the bronze/silver/gold coins you get; never sell them because there's a lottery with rare items that uses them (for a single try, it's 5 bronze coins or 3 silver coins or 1 gold coin). I've also switched my main money maker from grass seeds to jewelry (pink brooch sold for 128,000G...). You can buy rarer gemstones, Wonderfuls, and Suns for your basement from Hucho's shop.

As for FoodAssassin's questions:

1. Yes

2. It has to be Year 2.

See, the thing is for your Bazaar to "level up", you have to have a high popularity ranking. I just found out (through the wiki) that you CAN outright refuse some people and that it turns out to be the CORRECT answer. The reason why I wasn't leveling up was because some old dude would always go to my most expensive item and ask for me to give it to him and I would always say (can't you pay for it?) when you actually have to outright refuse it.

I'll try this on my next go.

Yeah, I knew about the rare lottery from the wiki, but I always figured I wouldn't get to it anyways until I hit winter again so I haven't bothered to save my coins.

So do you have 100% on your house and storage yet?

I have 90% on my house and 70% on my storage. I'm so stingy with money so I have 150,000-something G right now but I don't want to spend it (even though I have nothing else to spend it on... I hate seeing the numbers go down...)

And I think the further the bazaar progresses, the longer it takes to reach the next level. Or at least it seems that way. Like at 50% if you make it to the top three each time it should upgrade within 5-6 weeks or so. In the beginning it only took me 2 weeks.

I'm almost at the point where I want to be done with the game (1 week until Y3).

I've got most things maxed out, Bazaar at 75% for 2 seasons (probably will be 100 after 1 or 2 more), most items in the game.

Here' the thing.

I STILL CAN'T GET MARRIED. WHY DID THEY MAKE IT SO HARD?!

To get married in this game, you HAVE to see EVERY HEART EVENT CUTSCENE. I am 2 behind because the one I need is this.

Go to Shelfer's house on a Sunday that is after a Bazaar but not a holiday (that's about only 4 days out of a whole year). Felix has to have 3 or 4 hearts. >_<; He only has 2 in mine, so besides just upping his hearts, I need to hit the exact date for ONE CUTSCENE so I can get more. SHE HAS 7 HEARTS BUT I NEED TO GET 4 MORE CUTSCENES.

Don't marry Anemone then. You could get with her in one season. I didn't even try...but I crashed her and Agi's second cutscene and ended up making her like me with Agi having a "?" above his head. She went up a whole heart level O_o.

She's at blue now and I barely talk to her.

They'd like you to think Kagetsu and Schmidt are the hardest, but they really aren't.

Once available, Kagetsu is there EVERYDAY. Schmidt only leaves in Autumn, so you aren't losing much because they aren't friends with anyone else.

For Shelfer, you have to be friends with Enju AND Lloyd too (you rival O_o)

I have the blue feather now and Shelfer is at 8 hearts with an orange heart. You can't propose until she gets a red heart...which means she most likely will have max hearts before I get married.

I wonder if the last character I don't have is a child..
