Yeah, they should've left them the same as they were (well, ok, Roomi needed a bit of a growth spurt, but they could've at least made her look proportional! O-o)

Ose was always my least favorite. He scared me in ToT with his line "If I found out you liked another guy I would get violent" (replaced by "You're one heck of a woman" in the US version) and in EAM he practically pushed my beloved Cathy into a corner with his rude drunken proposal... (Harper was no help either, all like "well gee if you didn't marry a man I would start to worry about you"... what, was he catching on what was going on between me and her? :<)

And then Cathy doesn't seem so happy after her marriage. She always talks about how there's so much cooking and laundry to do and that her son is always off with his father. Whenever she is around him she seems so weak and reserved, not like the Cathy I love. And Ose says how great it is waking up and having food cooked for you and stuff like that. What. I'm never going to let them marry ever again.

Their first rival event was cute, I admit, and I thought "maybe they would be an okay couple after all". But the second one had me seething.

But he's REALLY mean, and drunk. Plus half of us are just weirded out cuz he was so nice in tot, and the other half are just mad they made him look so much worse.

He has his nice moments but overall it's just UGH!!!

I don't have much against Owen myself (yet, anyway...), but yeah, he seemed like a jerk with the second rival event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) I'll probably let him and Kathy marry regardless, though, if only because their son is cute. >.>

Personally it sounds more like "I'll go nuts and break all the windows in town" than "I'll beat you/him black and blue for betraying me" but either way I really really hate that kind of thing IRL.

I've finally got Alan's bell quest done and now I'm on Koron and Ben. They're much easier than I thought they'd be. I've got a few questions though:

1. Where can I get the power berries?

2. What's the best way to make over 100,000 gold in a month?

3. What's an easy gift to give Cathy?

1. I think they're in various places, like.. one of them is at the bottom of the Garmon Mine... and there are two you get from leveling up your fishing (and some other tool) skills. I can't remember the exact locations of all of them since I haven't really played the game for about a month now.

2. Grow melons! Those things sell for a lot. Though I don't remember if they're available in the beginning or not (probably not). In Fall, Blue Mist flowers sell for a lot of G. Also trees make lots and lots of money without much work.

3. She likes all berries and all juices. She loves most (if not all) dishes made with cheese, seafood dishes, red things like perfume and rubies, and rice cocktails.

Thanks. I'm gonna start giving Cathy all the berries I find. I can't cook anything yet since I haven't bought any kitchen stuff. Also what month can melons be bought and do trees need to be watered? I'm desperate for money since foraging isn't making me much. Thanks for your help Nurse Fin.

Trees don't need watering, but make sure to clear out a 3x3 area because they won't grow if they overlap with anything. You start out with a few cherry trees which give cherries in the summer. Melons are a summer crop as well. The most profitable spring crop is probably lettuce.

I'm growing plenty of lettuce so I can get 10 for Koron's bell quest. I'm gonna plant a bunch a trees once I get some money. Thanks Nurse Fin!

Owen is like that in EAM?!?

D: That's so sad...since he's really nice in ToT.

Oh well...I still like him no matter if EAM makes him kind of mean.

In a way I think he's nicer in EAM actually because he doesn't have that awful "violent" line anymore (that was from ToT). Though his proposal to Cathy was just shameful...

I'm still marrying him, too. He probably said what he had said because that's the line he's supposed to say indicating he likes you. Maybe the American Owen's just nicer. He's less of a drunk in it at any rate, and he doesn't say that. So maybe he's nicer in his proposal in EAM. Not that Kathy and Owen ever WILL get married when I play, as I plan to marry him. :D Mwahaha. But if you're going to be like that, then what's up with Chase? In ToT he was extremely rude to Mai, yet they still got married, but people praise the ground he walks on. Whenever I talk to him he's kinda mean. I don't get that....

For Owen's original phrase in the japanese version (the "get violent" one) I also think that's how he shows he really likes you.

Owen seems to me as the type of person who wouldn't do that. He may get really mad and jealous if the girl he likes ended up with another guy, but I don't think he'd really do that. :/

But that's just my opinion...

As for Chase, I seriously despise him. He is so mean to Maya/Mai and he's incredibly snotty. Yet, a million of fans stilll love him. I guess cause apparantly he's "cute" or whatever. D:

I dunno, I like Chihaya. His disaffected and somewhat nihilistic attitude doesn't really bother me that much. People just take issues with different things, end of. Jealousy and anger strike a really bad chord with me, but that's based on my own experiences.

Well I think with chase it's the same with Luna gill and selena. It's the struggle to make them nice to you and make them love you. Owen in the American tot was already nice, but in Japanese one, he almost got worse. With the Maya thing, well like 75% of people hate those scenes anyway. And in eam they fixed the maya/chase relationship. But they killed the way owen looked, and they made him be so terrible to kathy and make it seem like after marriage he makes kathy abnormally unhappy, like he didn't want her, he just wanted a wife. But in the English version we know they'll change it, make owen nice, and make them both happy with the marriage.

Well I go by the English version of Owen I guess. :/

But I still like him. I'm upset by the way Marvelous did with the pairing, but I still like him.

I actually like Luna, Gill, and Selena, but Chase just bothers me for some reason. Dunno why...he just...meh I don't know. He just annoys me. *shrugs*
