A lot of times it seems that the people who like Kotomi are the same ones that dislike Cathy or Shiela. Shiela I can see a little bit because from what the personality profiles say it says that she is selfish. Cathy is just another Gwen or Karen type of person so she seems cool to me. Or maybe becaue there is more info on Kotomi than any other person. I think that could be a main reason.

Well, I guess Cathy and Sheila seem more extroverted, and Candace more introverted, and that probably appeals to people who share those qualities.

I like Sheila, even though I don't know much about her. And I liked Karen and Gwen, I just don't like Cathy.... Strange.

Well yeah, but the little descriptions for the protagonists say the girl is "bright, enthusiastic, and a little tomboyish" and the boy is "the gentle friendly nice guy". The guy, from that description, sounds like a snore to be around. Dx

And I never thought much of Cathy before I played the game. Now I loooooooove her. I did not expect to. But I still could never marry her because I'd rather she prefer girls. :P

Lolz it's just saying that the guy is a nice person. Doesn't mean hes boring just more relaxed. Besides your in control of the guy, so you can make him do whatever!

A girl since this will be my first HM game that I get to choose. I've played MFoMT, but only for a short time. And because I AM a girl, it will be much more suitable for me!

I'm going to play as a girl, because I always choose the female character when the option of both genders is available ^^

I'm definetly being a girl! (the guy looks dorky with a cow lick any way) and the girl doesn't look THAT fat for once *cough* MM*cough*

Whenever I have the option, I always start off as the girl because I am one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Later on, whenever I feel like starting a new game, I'll make the boy.

thats how I am. im gonna play as a boy for my first file and boy for my second, and if I still feel like playing, girl for third. but meh.

If/when I get it I'll play as a girl first, then depending on how many of the Bachelors I like I'll have a daughter and marry them, then I'll have a son and marry Kotomi or maybe Renee.
