Hi Guys! Nice to meet everyone! I'm a HUGE HM fan! I've been playing them for as long as I can remember, and have always found them interesting and addicting!
Having said that I'm partial to the older titles. I feel newer titles lack the character and story development that newer ones do... Also! If one of the admins could help me out that would be great! I tried sending jason a PM regarding a question I had and I'm told I do not have the authority to send PM's :( so if anyone could help on that I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks! |

Depending on what type of question it is, I might be able to answer it, but if it absolutely requires an admin, I can contact Darth for you.
I believe the ability to PM is granted after a certain number of posts, so just post around a bit and it should become available to you. Regardless, welcome to the forums! |

Welcome to the forums! Like Mizuki said the Private Message system is only available to those who have posted after a while. ^^

From memory, it was roughly 10 or so posts before you are granted permissions to PM members.
Anyway, welcome to the forums. :D I feel partial to the older titles too, but I haven't been picking up a lot of the newer ones recently. Too much money. What are some of your favourites? I like Back to Nature and 64 a lot, and I've been waiting to play Save the Homeland for a while - I made the mistake of paying an NTSC version which my PAL PS2 can't run, so I've been waiting for dad to hack it for this one game. X[ Buuut, it works out anyway since I realised that was about the only Harvest Moon game not released here, just means I could have bought a better copy. Ughhh. Anyway, enjoy your time here. :] |

Yes I discovered that shortly after posting in one of the stickies. Anyhow I might as well ask it here . Basically my company/studio, has begun working on a harvest moon inspired title that we plan to announce tomorrow Monday, and in a few weeks run a kickstarter so I wanted to know in which section making a thread to keep you guys updated on progress on would be a good idea. I want community involvement in feedback so I'm hoping its bit somewhere buried :)
Any suggestions? If you want to check out the teaser pls check my website. ( I would post it here but am on my phone) |

Well, advertising and/or sales pitches aren't really allowed in most cases, and we certainly don't have a dedicated section for that kind of stuff, but if it's something you've worked on and are working on yourself, you can always throw it up in Show Off Your Work, which is for users' creative projects. There you could post screenshots and other WIP stuff like textures, character art, bits of script or whatever you deem necessary to show how it's progressing and we'd be able to give you the feedback you want. :)

Yes! By no means is it a sales pitch! As you said, the aim is to keep the community informed, and most importantly get feedback on what you guys think! :D The game is very much a WIP, and we want to make something that speaks to the hearts of fans of the genre and HM type games, so in my opinion the best way to do so, is to get the community involved! :D.
I'll go ahead and make a thread in the respective section then. Thanks! |
