If Natsume didn't remove that feature from the game, lol

I've been worried that they'll remove it as well. I have a feeling they won't since it's just clothing and hairstyles, but there's always that possibility.
Seriously though, if they do remove it, I'll probably foist the game off on someone else and just keep the cow plushie. |

I just got an email saying that the date on shipping has changed... to tomorrow. Iunno if it's a weird glitch or not as I'm not seeing anything else saying the date change, but if it did this could be the first time Natsume shifted the date around on an HM game and it was actually awesome.

I checked Natsume's Facebook page, and apparently it IS official. It was a surprise "ruined" by their automated shipping system.
So yes. It seems we're getting it early. Huzzah. :) |

What an awesome surprise then. Usually Natsume is tacking an extra few months on when they change the release date at the last minute.

Actually, now that you bring it up, I kinda wonder if it'll even be for stores as well. All I've heard about is people who actually have it preordered through Natsume being told anything...

I don't think they expected this either, seeing as the preorder period was supposed to be open until the 23rd.
Is this... a first? In all the years that I've been buying and playing Harvest Moon, Natsume's never released a game early. They've either struggled to release it on time or pushed the date back by weeks/months... And HMR, it ships out on the 19th. The earliest anyone'll have it is the 20th. I have a feeling that goes for stores as well, since they generally need to have the games in stock the night before to offer them the next day. That said, much like Darth, I'm wondering if they're even shipping out to stores yet. It's entirely possible that this change was so last minute that the stores won't get them for a few days yet. |

I THINK NATSUME MAY DESERVE A BIG PAT ON THE BACK, FOR ONCE.
I don't see anything about the game on Rising Star's site, though. I'm not that interested in the moment anyway since I don't even have a 3DS. >___> |

I hope this pertains to ALL preorders (like mine at Gamestop) and not just through the Natsume store.

Well, I checked up on their Facebook this morning and apparently they're shipping them out to retailers too, though it's up in the air as to whether those retailers are going to put them on the shelves immediately or hold on to them until the official release date.
EDIT: Or rather it was. I just checked it after getting home, and retailers won't be putting them on shelves until the 6th, because of corporate nonsense. (Pretty much, retailers can't sell them unless they have corporate permission, so everyone who ordered from Gamestop or other non-Natsume retailers will be getting them then instead.) There will also likely be updates throughout the day, so I fully expect anything said in this post to be rendered false by updates. EDIT 2: http://www.facebook.com/notes/natsume-inc/...486673818019802 So yeah. Tyler, expect to see it next week some time. Mine'll probably be among the last of the Anniversary Editions to ship. I waited a good while before preordering. |

It really must be a new beginning for Natsume.
As in their product is not only on time, but early. Just found out that Halo 4 releases around A New Beginning's original release date. Smart move, Natsume. |

Quick question everyone:
So I would really enjoy getting this game early, but I didn't pre order it yet, and it still sounds like store aren't going to put it on shelves until the original release date in November. If I were to preorder it today on Natsume's site, would I still get it earlier than the original date? Based on what they're saying, if as long as I pre order the collector's edition, I should still be able to get it early. I just need some clarification I guess. |

I guess you could potentially, but it basically depends on how quickly Natsume can deal with all the orders as they come in. Anniversary Edition is supposed to be shipping already (already got tracking for mine) and regular editions ship Tuesday.

I still preordered my anniversary edition last night off of Natsume's website, Novi. So I'm sure you could still do it on there. You might also still want to check in stores too because if what Mizuki is saying is true, then most stores won't be putting the game out until November.

I edited my post a long while back with a link to Natsume's note on Facebook saying that they were shipping out to stores with a soft release date. So, they'll likely have the games in stock either this week or next.
Anyway, my game finally shipped today! I knew it'd probably be Monday since I ordered it so late in the game. (The week preorders went up was the same week that I had to pay for that box of stuff and I needed to make sure I would even have the money to spend.) You guys have no idea how excited I am to actually play this game. 8D |

Yeah, it's actually my first handheld Harvest Moon in a while, and all the new features sound dang nice. What's more is I'm going in basically blind this time since we haven't had as major a presence from handy Japanese translators hanging around the forums covering everything. Should be a hoot.

Honestly, I would've owned the game in Japanese (for consistency, since the only handheld HM games I own in English are GBC 2 & 3) but that would've required spending over three hundred dollars on a Japanese 3DS. Nintendo really screwed everyone over with their damn region lock bullshit. B|
