I think mine may have to be Flowerbud from 64. More area is uncovered later in the game, and some people may never find the beach. :D

Flowerbud is definitely one of my favorites. I love the way it's laid out (though I wish it was larger). One of my favorite parts is actually the peak of the mountain, before you fix the bridge and have to climb up the tree in front of the cave in order to reach it. I always loved jumping up that and going to visit the old couple in the restaurant.

Aside from Flowerbud, though, I'd have to say that my favorite village is probably Konohana from Twin Villages. I absolutely loved the architectural style and the way the buildings were arranged. Everything was conveniently placed and no space was left entirely unused. Then of course, there was the mountain, which is one of the most amazing mountain areas in Harvest Moon to date. It was not only expansive, but had lots of little nooks, crannies, and extra platforms to explore. I could spend hours up there just running around. =w=

never go the chance to experience flower bud but I will be honest in saying that I never really loved any of the towns except for maybe the Asian themed town in two towns. I liked the theme and the people there. The fct that they had a focus being crops as well was unique. BLUE BELL SUCKS! uh anyway yeah I wish I could have played HM 64.

*raises hand* I never found the beach until at least my 3rd time playing (I wish people who rent games with an internal save file would stop overwriting my files ;.; )

My favorite town/village/island/valley/etc would have to be Castanet Island especially the town portion. I love the Greek inspired arcitecture. It's somewhat simple, but allows enough personality without the designs clashing. Plus it has a bit of a fairytale feel to it.

I also like the original Forget-Me-Not valley because it feels like a real place and has those really awesome flowers by the Goddess Pond. (Simultanious thoughts: "I wonder who thought of it and how?" and "I bet they got a raise for that idea")

Mineral Town is great too. It has a certain je ne sais quoi about it. I mean there are 4 games (6 if you count the PSN version and the Japanese verion of "For Girl") that take place in it. That's got to count for something.
