We've been having discussion for days. I don't feel like re-typing what I've already written, so...

When it comes to the sorting quiz, it's pretty obvious which answers lead to which houses. Any choice that has to do with searching or discovering deeper meaning, etc. will lead to Ravenclaw, while choices that lean towards unconditional loyalty are probably Hufflepuff, answers that seem reckless usually lead to Gryffindor, and answers that are cautious while showcasing ambition are Slytherin. If you answered in a way that showed you like to stay on the safe side of things, that would explain why you got Slytherin. :D

I was in either the first or second wave of people let into the site. The information that's available is very interesting - especially to fanfic writers - but once you've read it and saved it, there's not much else to do aside from brew potions (which, so far, I've only managed to ###### up at) and challenge people to duels.

What kind of wand did you get, Co'coa? (And you too Rebecca, once you get yours.)

No. You can't. The beta site only includes Book 1. Books 2-7 probably won't be available until the official launch date.

I've said this before, but I was in either the first or second wave let into the beta site. I did all of this ###### over a month ago. I'm mainly just on there to add all of the people I know who are in the last wave of beta testers.

I found potions to be irritating. If they were nice and quick like the Cure for Boils potion is, I'd do more of them, but not everybody is going to be spending 95 straight minutes on/around the computer waiting for it to brew. I went through three cauldrons before I just said, "###### it," and moved onto something else.

My favorite thing on the beta site is actually all of the information about wands, wandmaking, and Ollivander. Though, I sobbed in horror when I saw the description for Cherry Wood.

Mahoutokoro is the single most awful name you could give a Japanese school. Let's read that sentence one more time with the "name" translated: Most highly prized by the wizarding students of the school of The Magic Place in Japan...

Yeah. Way to go, Rowling. You picked like, the perfect name for a school.

So yeah. I've already been Pottermore'd to death. Until they open up something new, I have no intention of going back. It's not worth dealing with the traffic right now. Maybe later, once it's calmed down a bit.

What in the blue helk is Pottermore and why should I care?

It's a Harry Potter-based website that's being launched by Sony. JK Rowling's putting up a bunch of exclusive content on there - hence why fans of Harry Potter are very interested.

As for why you should be interested? I have no idea. Why should you care? If you needed to care, you would've already known what we were talking about.

Well, they extended the beta testing time in order to give the last group of beta testers more than just a few days to explore the site. The new potential grand opening is going to be in late October and access will be staggered, much like access to the beta was staggered.

Anyway, Slytherin won the first house cup. Ain't that some shit? Oh well. There's always the next house cup. *Waves Ravenclaw flag*

The second book should be up soon too. When that happens, I'll likely be on and actively participating in stuff.
