Remember the days when your children go grow into the teenage stage, and the villigers would change too? I MISS the teen stage! I also thought, that they should have a function for when the kid is a teen, you could buy "Vacation Houses" and they could move there.

That happened in A Wonderful Life. Your kid had several stages: Toddler, Child, and Teenager. When they became an adult your game technically ended. There were also a couple of villagers that changed as the chapters progressed. (Lumina in particular if my memory serves me correctly.)
I wasn't a huge fan of the game, and I certainly don't consider it the "Good Old Days", but whatever floats this person's boat. *shrugs* |

Happened in HM:DS/Cute as well, I think. It was a neat feature, but it took way too long for your kid to grow up, like 3 years per stage or something. I can't play an HM game for 8 or 9 years just for that .___.

In Special Edition each chapter only takes a year, so I got pretty far. I think I'm a year before the end, but I can't really remember.

I agree, it was nice to see your kid change instead of just being there after the events happen. Not much happens with the kids, which is kinda sad.

That was the feature I liked in the Wonderful Life games. I preferred the girl version.

I liked that in the Wonderful Life games.
But I don't like if just your kid grows up. It seems weird everyone else stays the same yet your kid magically ages so much. So if they do have the aging feature again I would like everyone to age. |

But they do age.
Like Hugh, or Lumina, or yourself. |

Good old days that lasted for only two games, technically? (I consider AWL/AnWL and DS/DSC different takes on the same game.)
I wouldn't mind it cropping up again, along with other villagers growing older. But god, they better make it more worthwhile when that day comes (I guess the closest was ToT's New Game+. And your kid grows up to be A FARMER. Thrilling. Although you could technically make them a miner, a rancvher, a fisher, a player, a jerkoff, or a useless bum with a nice house). I haven't even gotten my child past the toddler stage in AWL because I want for things to do. I tried leaving him at the beach, but the little pest wound up beating me home. I wonder if I can leave him at Daryls' place. |
