I remember I got the Nintendo Gamecube the christmas it came out and I freaked out about it.
I have a decent collection of games but I have been playing it the past couple of days just becuase its a fun system. I wish I had super Mario strikers for it. The new one isnt that great compared to the Gamecube one. |

The first system I ever owned myself (rather than it being a shared system or one owned by my parents) was a Gameboy Color I got for Christmas back in.... 98...? I played that thing to death.

I remember one where I was pretty young and really wanted Majora's Mask and got it on Christmas, man I played it for a majority of the day :D
The only one I remember better than that is when I got my first DS, my brother got one too and it was during a bad snow storm so my aunt, uncle, and cousins were staying with us because their power went out. That was a fun time too. |

The first game that was ever officially "mine" was Kirby Crystal Shards. I still have and play it to this day :3. We actually got the majority of our Nintendo stuff on Birthdays or just because, almost never got any on Christmas. So I have many great Nintendo memories but they aren't Christmas related.

I got my Gamecube at Christmas. My parents sold it last year though. My dear friend has departed me.... I MISS IT'S PURPLE-NESS.
At primary school, we had to write what we did the day before and stuff a lot. On just about every page I had to write "I played the Gamecube". X'D |

I remember when I got my 64. My brother and I were really excited for that Christmas. When the 25th came, we rushed to the tree and my mom was awake, so she came and joined and watched us beam with happiness when we found out we got a "Nintendo Sixty-FOOOUUUR!". That was the best Nintendo holiday gift ever. The system was really what got me into gaming. First game on it was Super Mario 64. :D
I also remember when I got my Gamecube. The first game I got for it was Luigi's Mansion. I was so excited, I ran to my mom's room (don't know why, since we had a TV downstairs) and hooked it up immediately. Then my brother came home and brought me Super Smash Bros. Melee. Good times! |

I just want to bump this thread to share one of mine.
When I was little- me and my bro still got the old santa, and well this year- he accuarly got something instead of coal (lol!) anyway- we both got GBCs. I got a Lime one- and him a Blue. Anyway we both got Pokemon- so been kids we woke up at like 5 or what ever to play Pokemon- and yeah- we where like playing pokemon, battling eachother etc. all day. I remember it oh so well because back then we weren't really that close- and it was probably the one day he didn't treat me like crud. |

I have quite a few, however, one in particular stands out. I had already gotten the Gamecube a few months early as a sympathy gift when I broke my foot. There was a gift under the tree that was obviously a video game. I spent a few days wondering what it was, but one day, I came in from school, and some of the tape had lifted. So, I lifted the flap, slide on the case, and then slid it back in to reseal it. It was Starfox Adventures. I still acted surprised on Christmas, lol
