I was watching a movie with my dad and it was around 11pm and I turned on my tv and saw on CNN that Obama was going to come out soon to confirm that they had killed him.

Turns out this was something they were working on since last August and they supposedly even built a copy of the mansion he was living in so the team could know the layout as best as they could when they actually had to do it.

I never thought we'd actually ever kill him, I always thought that he was already dead considering we hadn't hear from him in so long. I think this helps a lot for all you cynics. They've lost their leader! The war will continue on, because it's not like it was only him we were fighting.
Even when Hitler died the war still went on, and it's not like there aren't other people waiting to take charge.

We'll never be without terrorism but atleast we have some sort of relief on getting the mastermind.

I actually don't see this happening though. They've been talking about how basically every country that is allied with the States have upped their security. We had to expect this though, he's their leader, when this kind of thing happens the group go nuts and act out in like a final act against us type thing. It's the same thing we'd do if they did the same to us.

Finally, internet's back up. Oh well, I got some new books today, so I'm happy. (This month's Gamepro, a Chicken Soup book "My Cat's Life, Toradora, and the Azumanga omnibus to be precise.) I've been running errands ever since I woke up, so I'm glad to have a moment to myself.

BTW My brother (not Axl, the other one) said he found a photo of Bin Laden's body on the internet. Said his eyes were all bugged out and everything. Also, apparently there was video of Osama being killed on YouTube for a while. It was flagged pretty fast, so it's no longer there. I heard someone in the military posted it.

I know Canada is on their list, I'm not stupid. But we're not the ones who bomb their country. We haven't actually faught in a war in A LONG TIME, possibly the last time was WWII. And we only have 30 million people, and only a few major places where there would be targets, we do have the parliament buildings but I'm sure they have huge security with that, and the CN tower they'd be killing tourists probably from their own country.
So I doubt they're thinking "WE GOTTA GET THE CANADIANS! THOSE PALE WESTERNERS!"

Supposedly they were planning attacks, they wanted to do one for the 4th of July and the anniversary of 9/11 and Christmas. Now supposedly they're saying they will be attacking us soon to get back for Bin Laden.

Get back for Bin Laden? He murdered over 3,000 INNOCENT people, his one death was "getting back" for what he did. Killing more of innocent Americans isn't going to stop this war, that means we'll have to send MORE troops back to get whoever the next mastermind will be.

And about the actual photos of Bin Laden dead, I actually don't think they should be released. Not because I don't want to upset the "muslim world" but because if we show him bloody and his head blown apart will only make us as bad as he was when we were forced to watch the planes go into the towers. yes, we did have to watch the people die in the attacks, and yeah, he didn't ask any of the people where they wanted to buried or how, but I think this proves we're a much better people than the terrorists.

Yeah, I like that we're not posting the pictures, either. Or that we gave Bin Laden a proper Islamic burial. It does show the maturity on our part. Though now we have all those conspiracy theories, because Obama doesn't want to show the pictures. =/ "He's not really dead!" "The US is working with Bin Laden!" The people who say it didn't happen will never believe anything. No matter how much proof they give out, I think the fact that they're doing anti-American protests and the actual Al Queda acknowledged his death, kind of proves it.

I realize his death was a morale boost, but his killing does not provide "closure" for any of the victim's families of 9/11. The only closure would be to have their family intact again. He also wasn't really the leader of al-Qaeda, more a symbolic figurehead. You will always have conspiracy theories too, even for something as dumb as not releasing photos. People like Glenn Beck, idiotic enough to claim Obama's visit to ground zero and honoring those who died by shaking the hands of their families and expressing his condolence is taking a victory lap for killing Osama. Plenty of stupid people to go around, if you ask me.

I've heard so many people whining that it's inappropriate to celebrate his death. Even my elder sister was all "really disheartening how people can celebrate the death of another human being, shame on you all :("
I'll happily celebrate that the bastard's dead if I want to. The guy was responsible for loads of people dying and would gladly have killed me and everyone I know. Whatever their tragic backstories or motivations, I don't have any compassion for assholes like that.
