Rune Factory 3, help me! ;_; Options

I'm on my second play through of rune factory 3. I managed to get myself stuck in the first dungeon...

I rotated the statues to make the stairs open up to go underground. The problem is that I cannot get the scene where micah declares that he'll need a bridge built to get across. Am I forgetting something else that I need to do? Perhaps a certain number of days need to pass before it'll let that happen? Please help! I'm not sure what I'm missing exactly...

Wow you already beat it. I'm still in the third dungeon.

Did you go to both sides? He won't say you need to build a bridge until he sees you can't get past on either side. So you have to go around the dungeon and down the other stairs. Then he'll say he needs someone to build a bridge. I think (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) .

ah I got it! my problem was actually that I was in the middle of a quest, so that event wouldn't trigger until I completed/canceled it. oops ^.^; well we learn from our mistakes.

Oh right I think boss fights and festivals won't work if you are doing a quest as well. I do requests last in my day so I always forget the problems they can cause.

She'll build the bridge

no, I already figured it out. talking to daria wasn't the problem. I needed the scene where micah declares that he needs a bridge built. that's what wasn't happening for me. so I couldn't "just go find daria" until that happened. the problem was that I was in the middle of doing a request, so that scene couldn't be triggered until the requested had ended.
