There wasn't a big update last week, but I did find a new scan.
(IMG:http://mizore.sakura.ne.jp/rff/dat/src/RFF1135.jpg) The kids look so much better then the ones in Frontier! It looks like a golem runs a shop, I'm thinking it's Elena's golem. We can finally see Pandora all the way, and it looks like she's a dwarf from the way her ears are shaped! And we can see some of the shops, one of them looks like the bathhouse that no one runs. |

Aww the kids are cute. But I won't ever have any (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . I hope they look cute in their 3D models too. I knew they would show the kids before the game came out =3=.
Pandora is meh. I still don't like her. But her scarf thing looks good. Yeah RFO is coming out this month (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) . |

QUOTE And why 'zat chicks scarf defying gravity? It's her evil Dark Lord powers! The main site updated, link. There is a new commercial, but we've seen everything in it already. Gray and Bacchus have there info pages up on the main site now. Some Q&A's from the blog. "Time flows the same speed as in frontier but you should have more free time by making the monsters do your chores for you. Azel and Sonia can marry and it might be easier to marry each other since they know more about each other from the start. You can only have one active quest at the time but you can cancel it and take another one at the bar. Even though you can have weapons that can multi hit, it seems every hit does take RP. The higher your level, the less RP you use. (Nothing has changed)" Famitsu.com has an update. They talk about cooking, mining, craft making, pharmacy, and carpentry, "Such as shelving and interior light making, to decorate their homes to their liking." Famitsu. Edit: Someone has already Photo-shopped the children so they would look like the marriage candidates kids. Link. Bismarck looks like a girl! (IMG:http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb337/deedeedina232/efdsfsf.png) A member on Ushi no Tane said that this site does have legit info most of the time. tvtropes |

Pffttt James looks like such a girl (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .
So you can cancel and not have to wait til the next day. That's good. But can you still only do one per day? I hope the requests are more fun in this game. Hmm TV Tropes is a good site. |

James has always looked like a girl, maybe it's the way he stands in the pictures. But he does look more like a guy in-game.
QUOTE But can you still only do one per day? It hasn't been said whether or not you can only do one request a day. Hopefully you can do all the requests you want, and they will be a lot better then the ones in RF3. TV Tropes has a lot of good info, and it's better then having to go look through 25 pages of info and lots of articles. Anyone else besides me not really looking forward to Oceans? First you have to farm with wand, and if you don't have monsters it will take you forever to take care of all your crops. Second the islanders don't look that interesting, just odd like the people in RF3. Third the marriage for a night festival, which is now looking kinda odd. |

I think it's looking really cool. I don't ever really get too excited about video games, but I think it'll be great and I'm ready for it to come overseas (when it's ready mind you). Try not to be too afraid of things being different. Who knows, maybe it'll be better like this. I'm not exactly sure how the crops will work, but I'm sure it'll turn out ok.

I am really disappointed about the farming. That is one of my favorite parts and I don't like the idea of using a wand. And am I definitely a crop person. In HM and RF I always have the bare minimum of animals/monsters. So being forced to have monsters in order to have crops is not something I am looking forward too.
But there are so many other great features I'm still excited. And it might not be so bad. |

Hey, so Candy will appear in the game? Regardless of whether you can marry her, it's good news. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)
The fact that they presented children's designs hints that once again there will be ther same offspring regardless of your spouse. Well, let's hope they will invest in their personalities, at least... I'm alright with wands as long as they don't carry it over to future installments (same as with 3D portrait interaction). It's good for a series to experiment, so in the end every game therein has something unique. Regardless of how some of these experiments work out in practice, I must say I admire the dynamics of the series' development. |

I agree. They can have their wands in this game, just don't make a habit out it.
The kids hair and eye color will at least change though. I don't know about personality. They will probably always be the same. I would like if the boy and girl child had noticeably different personalities. Instead of just the same character as a boy or a girl. |

Thanks for your opinions, I'll have to wait and see about the farming part of Oceans before I make up my mind on whether or not it will be fun.
This might be some bad news, the main site updated and Pandora is on the marriage candidates page. So Masked Man might not be a secret marriage candidate. The enjoyment page has been updated with the swimsuit festival. The movie list has been updated with some game-play of Sonia.Link to Soina game-play on youtube. I'm still working on the Q&A's page. (I'm seeing if there are any important points made) In the blog someone asked how many islands there are, and the answer was about 30 islands. Someone else asked if the game is fully voiced, the answer was Oceans is not in fully voiced. Someone asked about knocking on doors with the different controllers, the answer was, QUOTE How to knock with the Wii, "shake the Nunchuk" The PS3 controllers, "Use the right analog stick" For PlayStation Move, "a nod Motion Controller" Someone asked about changing the main characters names and the answer was you can change Azel and Soina's names as well as Ymir's. At least I'm pretty sure that's what the answer was, I might go back and make sure about this though. A member on Ushi no Tane posted this picture. (IMG:http://www.mmv.co.jp/special/game/runeoceans/product/images/messe_girls.jpg) QUOTE The kids hair and eye color will at least change though. Note I'm still not sure about what they meant then they said, "The children will inherit their hair color from the parents." I was just thinking it meant the kids will look like the spouse. We won't know for sure until the game is out and a lot of people have kids with different candidates. |

Even if it is only two different styles, their hair color has to change in some way. Otherwise they would have just said all the children look the same. So that is still an improvement from the last four games (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) . Although the four four games didn't have two playable characters but still.
Yeah 30 Islands that is great! I was hoping there would be more than like ten. I'm gonna collect em all. You know what I'm saying (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ? Pandora was pretty obviously a marriage candidate so I'm not surprised they put there. I still think Masked Peron has a chance of being a marriage candidate. But who knows. Knocking on doors is a nice feature. The game play still looks great. If you can change their names I will be torn. Should I stick with my pattern for naming all RF characters or should I keep these names that I've gotten so use to? |

I'm pretty excited for this. The scans look great. I'm a bit disappointed about the farming as well, but I can understand their reasoning. I only hope that the English version does not take too long to be released.
Having the ability to knock on doors is really nice. I remember liking that a lot about Frontier. |

I just noticed that the boy child looks like Azel and the girl child looks like Odette.
I'm glad there is going to be a lot of islands, I was afraid that there would only be like ten or fifteen. Masked Man is an interesting character, is he even the main bad guy? I don't remember Gelwin being on the villagers page. Being able to knock on doors was a great feature in Frontier, I'm glad they brought it back. I'm going to change Sonia's name to Nina! Famitsu.com has made a little page with screenshots and key info about the game. Link. It's pretty fun to look at, even though there isn't anything new. |

I don't think I'm REALLY looking forward to this as of right now, but maybe my opinion will change once the game is shipped in English and I can get a true look at a trailer and the game itself. The farming is really what's getting me down. However I do like how the scans are looking. owo
So I'm excited for the game, but I'm not sure if I would actually buy it myself..If that makes sense. |

I am buying this game the second a pre-order in English is available. But I always get every RF game.
I still think this game has got a lot of possibility (I wish there were more flippin villagers though). It is probably the 30 islands that has got me so happy. I'm just really looking forward to being able to raise and explore so many places. And being able to play as two different people is also great. |

Oceans has lots of good and great things about it, but the farming and lack of true islanders is a big let down. Hopefully I will get more interested in the game when it comes over seas.
30 islands to explore is going to be really fun, as long as they aren't copy and paste, change a few things about the islands. QUOTE I want to see the opening..... Just like eleven more days until we get to see the main opening. I think Azel and Sonia have their own openings after you beat the main story. |

Well I'm sure some of the islands will be extremely similar. I mean 30 is a lot of places to design. But let's just hope more than just the dungeons will be original.
I want to see the opening too. I am really excited for the release. Even though it's in Japanese and I won't be able to get it myself (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . Soon I'll have to start being really careful to make sure I don't spoil anything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif) . |

The dungeons looked pretty cool from their screenshots, I hope they are even better then Frontiers dungeons and bigger!
Anyone have an idea as to how the monsters will work, and will we not have to feed them in this game? I haven't seen any fields with fodder growing in them. |
