I would choose hard too >:D. I don't care if I die a zillion times. Whenever there is a difficulty option hard is what I choose.

Although that kept me from beating Kingdom Hearts 1 when I was really little. And I haven't ever gone back and beaten it. But you know one of these days I am going to beat that game (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .

Ehh, I don't know if it needs to be much harder. I think it shouldn't be easy and definitely have some tough enemies and/or obstacles here and there, but if it stays difficult throughout the game then you enjoy it less. At least that's how it is with me. If a game stays too hard where it annoys me over and over, then I tend to dislike it more.

Yeah, but if a game is too easy, it's only fun a couple of times. *stares at TP gathering dust* It was fun the first few times, but after a while I could do it in my sleep. Unlike OoT, which while I knew all of the dungeons and knew what to do, the enemies were tougher and more challenging.

Possibly, though I have replayed both. I think TP was just overall more boring. Could have been because it was easier, not sure. Maybe they just need to add more enemies to fight? How about Wind Waker? I'm not sure I remember the difficulty for that one, but that game was more fun than TP.

I think the main charm of WW though was the exploration and how you could interact with the environment a little more I guess. I always find myself picking up WW, but quiting when it comes to getting the Triforce pieces on it.

Yeah, I think what this new Zelda game needs most is exploration like WW. I always have fun with Wind Waker. And Ocarina of Time is cool, too. They are my two most favorite Zelda games. Let's hope SS joins my top favorites, too!

Think my favorite Zelda would have to be Majora's Mask, kind of wish they could impliment some of it's style into a new Zelda, but without taking away the charm of MM.

Like the forms each had different fighting styles, and ways they could move through your surroundings, but I mean you couldn't just take all of the masks and through them into a new game, but something I think they could do is use different armors for different things. Like how the Zora armor in TP let you swim underwater, but then again I don't see how they could make a Goron or Deku or something like that armor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Still would be cool to see though.

Seems like a lot of people see Twilight Princess (not gonna abbreviate it 'cause then it makes me think of toilet paper) as a weaker entry to the series. I kinda thought it was one of the better games. I see people call it "too familiar to Ocarina", but lets be honest, aside from the games where link is in his Wind Waker style, they're all similar. Not that that's a bad thing. I like most of the Zelda games and the basic formula works great. I guess what I'm trying to get at is, why do so many people find Twilight Princess disappointing? Obviously it can't stand up to the reputation of Ocarina, nor is it as inventive as Wind Waker, and it doesn't have that bizarre feeling Majora's Mask is known for, but it's a great game. I guess it's because it doesn't stand out as much as the others.

Just so you know, I'm not just trying to defend the game, I'm actually quite curious.

Oh, pretty much for the reason you said, Happy Dingo. It's not as unique or it doesn't stand out as much as the others. The game was still a lot of fun, though. And I've replayed it a couple of times.

I liked Twilight Princess more than OoT and WW, to be honest. I don't like being little kid Link and I think TP had a better emphasis on fighting than any other of the 3D games. I really hope the new game, since motion plus is being billed a key feature, really focuses on fighting.

Yeah, TP did have a bigger emphasis on fighting. And I do want that to come back. But I still liked OoT and WW more. I forget the events and gameplay in TP more than the ones in WW or OoT. And it just felt more dull for some reason, too. I hated collecting those tear drop things. And there was hardly any side quests or exploration....But still a great Zelda game, don't get me wrong. I haven't played the game but what I noticed and didn't like while watching others play, was in Twilight Princess practically all the new tools you got were barely ever used outside the dungeon you got them in. And you had to repeat the same thing a few times (the tear drop collecting thing is what I'm referring to).

But I'm still planning on playing it sooner or later.

The second time I went to play Twilight Princess I'd completely forgotten about the Tear Drop collecting, when I had to do it I'm just sitting there thinking, 'I really did this? REALLY?' Although I didn't find the tear drop collecting annoying. I was just astounded that I had no memory of doing it before. :'q
I thought Twilight Princess was a really good game, but when people ask me what my favourite is all the others tend to come to mind at first.... I'm no good at picking favourites, but that's got to mean something.
Mostly all I want from a new Zelda game is higher difficulty, more and harder enemies and bosses, and just a great storyline.

I really ought to go and finish the second last dungeon of A Link to the Past but I busied myself up with my new Super Mario 64....

That's where I always quit, too. The exploration of WW was great, but I didn't like HOW huge it was. I hated the stupid boat. Seriously, for some reason, endless water and just an annoying talking boat bugged me. Plus, when you had to fight enemies, it was complicated if you were using your canon (I prefer the canon use in the DS ones). And I hated how some islands were...really rather pointless. Sure, there was usually at least one treasure, but that was usually just rupees, nothing special. :\

MM is definitely my favorite game because of that. I liked how the environment was so different from the other Zelda games. The saving got kind of annoying, but still. I liked how just doing one thing could change events that could affect everything around you. In TP half the people you can't even talk to; they just run or walk by without a word. Also, in MM, the people had different things to say at different times of the day or even which day it was. Spiced things up a little, instead of the mundane stuff you usually get.

And that whole armor thing sounds really cool, actually. They should try that sometime. I doubt in SS, but maybe in a future one. And I want some Dekus back! :(

For me it's the complete opposite. In OoT and MM, a lot of times there are things that I completely forget, and when I discover them again, it's like I'm playing it for the first time. In TP, I remember almost everything that happens, including where bad guys are, how to defeat them, how to outsmart them, where heart pieces are, where those (somewhat stupid) bugs are (on the other hand, I think Agitha is one of my favorites for the simple reason that she's different from the borings of Hyrule Castle and more like one of the individuals from MM), what people are gonna say, where the tears of light are...it just got so mundane that I couldn't handle it anymore and stopped playing at all.

That's why TP isn't really my die hard favorite. For a while it was a close second, but then when it got mundane...it just wasn't anymore. My favorite is MM and OoT is a very close second. And it's not like the new games are all the same and that's why they're boring. I find both DS Zeldas to be very fun. The plot is different; something you haven't really seen before.

Hmm, guess TP just had less of a positive impact on people, for some reason.
I've ever only played MM two times and the last time was such a long time ago, that I have forgotten so much. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I need to find a way to replay it...

And yeah, both DS Zelda games were unique and different. They did a good job with them, though I prefer ST.
