So I had planned on getting SS for Christmas, but after watching all the previews and reviews, I've decided to preorder the special edition and I can not WAIT to pick it up on Sunday.

It's going to be epic.

If I have any homework, I'll be getting it all done on Saturday. Then I can work on Sunday and take my game home right when I get off.

You guys do homework? I'm really grateful I went to a really rough inner city school where nobody in the class did homework so the teacher could never do anything about it

Anyway got the game earlier today and taking a break from playing to write this

-Spaz-
Might avoid this topic until I get it if you guys start talking about it......

24th is a Thursday for me, so it'll be around the end of the school week when I get it.
And it's nearing the end of term, so I might be lucky and just have to revise for some tests and do the little bits of homework.... Like that speech...... Gahhhh. >.<

This is (most likely) the last new Wii game I see myself getting. Unless something amazing comes out next year, but I doubt it. I'm super excited for tomorrow morning. But I too will have to worry about homework. v.v I've got a lot to do. I am pretty much leaving a family party early today to start homework so I won't be so overwhelmed. I know, lame. I believe this will be my last Wii game too. I figure with WiiU coming out next year, I really don't feel I should invest much more into my Wii system.

Oh, I dunno. Just looking back at the systems I own, I can honestly say that some great games came out at the very end of their lifespans. But then again, I'm the type of person who holds onto all of my old systems and games and goes back to play them later on. To me, the introduction of a new system doesn't necessarily mean the death of the old one.

Sooo, has anyone been playing it?

So far I just beat the first dungeon. But now the regions are really all one big dungeon, in a way. But that works well, I think. The transitioning is much more smooth. The controls are great, too! It's a lot of fun to engage in battles. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

However, the biggest complaint is the bird-riding. >.> It had potential to be better than what it turned out to be. Instead, it's just sort of a hassle and not too interesting. Not dreadful, but could have been funner.

I can't say much more, because I've only really done that one dungeon. I'm looking forward to the rest, though! I hear it gets really interesting after about the first three dungeons...(at least story wise, since the dungeons are already fun).
But I love that killer cat-pet-thing in Skyloft. XDXD

The killer cat was a sketchy bastard. 0_o

I'm just happy that this game finally brings back the dang sword beam. It's always been one of my favorite parts of Zelda games and most recent console games have excluded it.

Ahh, yes, the beam. I like that you have to actually raise your hand up in the air. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

-Ignores Oscar's long post about the game-

I'M GETTING IT ANY MINUTE.
ANY MINUTE NOW.
Waiting for mum to come home so I get a lift. :D And some takeaway, heheh.
I'M DEEPLY EXCITED INSIDE AND AM EXPRESSING IT IN CAPITALS. I'd like to roll on the floor, but I can contain myself. X'[

It's unlikely I'll be here for the next few days. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

:: Double post ::

My last post was spastic. Xq
Mum came home right at the end of writing that.

Well, it's Saturday and I've got all day to play. I'm a bit into Lanayru Desert. This game's great. :D Except sometimes my controls feel a bit out of place. -Shrug-

EDIT:
Spoiler:
PAHAHAHAHAH. GROOSELAND.

Well, I'm done Lanayru. :D

EDIT2: Oh my god. Another creepy paper guy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Why is it terribly quiet in here? Does nobody else have the game but me, Charmy and Lenyo?

I know, Charmy, another paper "guy". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) That was great. I'm liking the game a lot. I wish I could play the harp a little differently, but it's cool. The songs are neat. I'm now in Lanayru Desert again and it's much better now! The vast ocean of "sand" is great!

I got this game! I've been meaning to talk about it, but I havn't had the time to! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

The game is pretty cool. I don't feel like it deserves as many positive comments as it's been, but it's still pretty great. As of right now, I just finished the third dungeon (desert mining factory place). I really like the controls and I enjoy how items are used often outside of the dungeon you recieve them in. My issue though, is that I feel like for being a Zelda game, it's really "dumbed" down.

I don't think it helps that I've been getting really ticked off at Nintendo lately for dumbing down all of their games, and I really didn't want it to happen to this one, but I think it did. The world just feels super small.

Like almost all newer Nintendo games, there has been a hub world. You can all shoot it down as you like, but Skyloft/Sky is totally a hub.

I also feel like the amount of challenge hasn't really been there. I remember with TP I had to look up online what to do next quite a few times. I havn't once yet, because I feel like everything is handed right to us too much.

Another thing that doesn't help is that I really dislike Fi. I was really looking forward to her as a sidekick/guide, but she is just SO boring. She has no personality at all it seems. I feel like she really is just a guide, and that's it. There are times where I get pissed off because she has to tell me something. I really liked the other game guides such as Midna and/or Linebeck because they had personal motives as characters and their own backstory. Fi doesn't seem to have that.

Although these may seem like downers, I really do still like the game to some extent. Also notice that I'm still a bit early into the game, and I guess the story truly kicks off after the dungeon I just finished. The story does seem pretty epic, but that's coming from a guy who is obsessed with prequels to things.

You know, I'm unsure if it has been dumbed down, ZBoy. I feel the difficulty is roughly the same to that of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, at least. It does get a bit harder, though after that dungeon you just beat. The one in Lanayru again is AMAZING. One of my most favorite dungeons of all Zelda games. <3 And the boss is so great!
I like it more than Twilight Princess, that's for sure. I thought TP was more boring and the over-world was rather boring, too. It was big, sure, but there was nothing within it. But I do feel the Sky could have used some more interesting islands. =/

I think it may feel dumbed down, because the dungeons might be a bit smaller (it seems, at least), but that's because you have the provinces act as dungeons themselves, too. Once you reach the surface land, that's when you start the dungeon, essentially. The transition is just a lot more smooth. And the dungeons are just more fun. They don't feel like a hassle or a big annoyance. With that said, I do wish there were some more monsters to fight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I would love to continue using my sword. I like the controls so much for it.

So far, the game feels really fresh. At first, the game did not feel like anything amazing (which is a sucky way to start), but I'm really liking it a lot now! I think I'm about halfway done. I got the second flame, so that's roughly around 50% or so, I think.... The "moving painting" graphics are really great, too. Especially when looking at things from afar. And using the items is funner, too and at least you can switch items in real-time, thank God.

I grabbed this game and it is currently sitting under Mr. Christmas tree. So because I'm too lazy to read any of you guys's posts, tell me how the game is. c:
From what I've seen (you guys near never coming on), I'm guessing it's good? The only real thing that would seem to bother me is having to stupidly swing the remote around to do everything, is it everything even? :/
