Okay, so my printer is being weird. When it prints something out there's like pieces missing, like things are cut off. Words half appear....

Does that make sense?

It's like this:

Hello there

Imagine that what is behind that line disappears (along with the line, of course) that's how it's printing out! D: And it has good enough ink levels. I tried to align it, but it says "alignment failed". I really need to fix this soon! School is here!

I sure hope it's just some obvious solution that I'm missing...

Thank you

Hmm . . .

Are you sure the ink cartridge it installed correctly? Try removing it and putting it back in. Also, is it a new cartridge? If so, it might take a few printings before it works normally. Finally, did you touch the area on the cartridge that it says not to touch?

Just a few options.

Crystal: Oh no, it's past new. I'm thinking it's just cuz the ink level is pretty low already. That might explain it. I'll have to buy new ink cartridges and try again tomorrow and see what happens...=/ It better be that. I even took it out and "cleaned" it.

Ugh, I don't even know. I'm just mad now cuz I can't do my homework. The ink level shouldn't be a problem, though. My brother said it seems to be the alignment but every time I try to align it just says "failed aligning" or whatever. May have to reset the whole thing.

Grrr

Couldn't you do your homework, move it to a portable device/email yourself and then print it at school or a library?

Noviwan: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I want to do that right now!

Crystal: Luckily, this homework isn't due until Thursday (though I just wasted two hours trying to get the printer fixed instead of doing reading homework), so I'm gonna buy new ink cartridges tomorrow and see if that's the problem. If not, I'll email it and print it out at my brother's house or my dads computer downstairs (but that one has problems).

Thanks for the help anyways. :)

Zen: Ahh, it's cool. :D

Noviwan: HAHAHA!! That was GREAT! Yes, that certainly felt like the problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) It turns out it needed new ink, but my ink was at a good level! It wasn't even in the warning zone. -_-

I had ink corrode through the cartridge. It was a printer older than me though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

You know, you should check if there's a store in your city that will fill up your cartridges for you, we have one in my city {called "Phillip McCartridge" which I think is funny xp } and it's cheaper to get them to fill them up for you than to just buy a totally new cartridge. But make sure if you do find a store like that that they actually are cheaper... Sometimes these kind of places will rip you off.

I'm not really sure what the problem would be but it sounds mostly like it's just running out of ink and acting weird. Sometimes ink cartridges will say they're full when they're actually empty... So who knows. xp
