There's so much to discuss with this game that I can't seem to put anywhere else! So, come here to ask questions, say what you like or don't like, or just happenings you've encountered along the way.

First order of business: I loooove how many cutscenes there are. I don't know if all the ones that I've had are all related to one ending or another or not, but most are very well done and cute.

Also, I really like the storage room on your farm. At first, one might not have any idea its use, but as one progresses through the game, one will collect certain items that go there for display! I have four items right now, three from mining and one from the beach. After you find one of these items, though, if you find a duplicate you can sell it for big bucks. One of them, I swear, is a Gyroid.

One item I have noticed is that the artwork that appears when you speak to a character does not change based on their emotions unless you are engaged in a cut scene, which is a little disappointing. On that same thought, typos don't occur all that often, though I've seen a couple here and there, but not repeatedly.

Any glitches anyone's noticed? I encountered one that I took a photo of (haven't gotten around to uploading it) after working in the lumber forest.

Katie, how far are you in the game? I haven't played in about two weeks despite really enjoying it.

Also, we have a topic for discussions on this game D:

I thought it was less of an official discussions topic and more of a "who's playing" topic, which seems misleading.

I'm on like, Summer 29th or so. The day of the Fireworks festival.

I do see what you mean, but it's purpose was to provide a general discussion for the game. It made more sense when the game came out and people were playing it D:

Aw, Katie is further than me. I want to play almost to catch up to you now :[

Also, do you find you can only get through 7 - 10 days before needing to charge? Such a pain.

Sorry there, Saffaroo, then. Though it almost seems like we're the only two playing/discussing the game at all. :c

DOITDOIT.

Well, I'm usually sitting there with my PSP plugged in, soo. Plus I'm paranoid about the thing running out of power. I usually pause for certain intervals and put it on sleep for a break.

We'll keep this topic going then :D And yes, I should get to playing the game, but I have a few busy days trying to get a job right now :P I'm actually very close at the moment.

You do know if the PSP runs out of power while you're playing, it will resume exactly where it left off, right? It's a wonderful feature of the PSP. But hm, I could I always play with the charger too, I suppose.

GASP! Of course I didn't know that. Man, I'm liking this system more by the day.

Have you gone fishing a lot? The system is extremely simple, much more so than StH. Though it's not much of a challenge, at least it's better than the old "exclamation mark + A button = catch" way.

I've gone fishing a few times, but I haven't made a proper habit of it yet. I've just started trying to get out of doing so many part-time jobs in favour of relying on my own income.

Just got this today, haven't really played it yet though. Just started a file, named my guy and farm. Actually don't think I saved...

Anyways, how do the plants grow? Like.. how should I plant my farm? Make rows so I can walk between them or can I use up every square and still be able to walk between and harvest them all?

You can walk between the plants. One bag of seeds per crop.

You can use all squares and still maneuver. The game itself may be a little slow at first, but it does get better once you get the geography and work down pat.

I caught a Sunken Treasure at Crystal Bay today. I was excited until I found out I can't open it. teh lames. My horse can finally run, so I get places very quickly. And inching closer to my first Fall. The change of seasons is so exciting. :]

erghhh. so hard to resist double pooost.

The Harvest Festival is probably the cutest/awesomest festival to date. Everyone dances like they're at Riverstomp/Oktoberfest! It's great fun to watch. Also, I got sick of my three chicken getting sick all the time, so I sold two and kept the one most likely to lay gold eggs.

I'm eager to find Zann, but I read somewhere that he only appears in like the third year or something. Collecting lumber is so annoying cause you have to wait 2-3 days between cuttings, and even then the carpenter's is closed two days a week. But I must get 15 more pieces of lumber for the upgrade!

I finally found out how to find Power Berries, so I'll probably be hunting those down soon. C:

How far are you in the game, Katie? Why do your chickens keep getting sick?

I completely agree with cutting lumber being a pain. You get all of three days, if I'm not mistaken, per week where you can actually cut wood and then they tell you you have to wait a few days after you last cut it. I'm lucky to get two to four stumps most weeks :\

I'm in late Fall, just before the rainy season.

I assume they get sick because I don't let them into the coop between certain times. Like, 4 is too early and 7 is too late, so I have to constantly panic about getting my chickens in around 5-6. They don't even have a day of "they're not feeling good", they just get sick. Which ticks me off, because you can't buy more than one Medicine at once, so I have to run back and forth to Starling Ranch 2-3 times to cure them.

And then you can't cut during the rainy season either. Pretty obnoxious, no matter how draining it is. I usually go in there with a couple of herbs & walnuts to heal, and I've also fully upgraded my ax so it's not a terrible lot of work. If I can get lucky enough to find a large tree, I get 6-7 pieces out of that and maybe 4 out of a medium tree. Otherwise, I get around 8 per cutting. I'm obviously really desperate for that upgraded house. XD

Yeah I'm glad someone brought up that dance festival. It was one of the most entertaining festival to watch. A lot more fun than the fireworks festival. I feel bad because Gwen came to my house in the morning to invite me to the festival, but I danced with someone else.

That's pretty lame I was really hoping to meet Zann but I'm still in the first year. I can't stop thinking about the fact he love grass. I really want to know what he says when you give to him.

I could not stand getting lumber... That's why I bet a ton of medals on my horse on racing day and spent all my winnings on lumber. I was able to get enough to upgrade my house hooray.

Woopwoop, Spring Year 2.
Something good to know about the game in comparison to Save The Homeland that I figured out a few days ago: it's no longer a "one-ending and you're done" deal. You actually want to complete as many as you can by the end of the second year. And you still gotta shell out 50000G. :x

I finally got around to posting this glitch pic that occurred forever ago:

(IMG:http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/8918/dscn1252a.jpg)

As you can see, I'm about to cut some lumber while fishing, apparently. How talented am I? Needless to say I let my PSP have a little break after this one, haha.

I got this game today. <3 I do quite enjoy it. Going after Aurelia, and I'm making good time on the money. :3

I never played the original Save the Homeland, but now I sort of wish I did.

Oh if you're in year two could you answer this question? I wanted to know if you always see the same people when you go to the New Years Eve festival. I met the little raccoon guy, Bob and, Tim, then Katie. If you went did you get the same people or can you meet other people there?

I met Bob & Tim & Katie, but I don't recall seeing Ponta. I could be wrong.
I assume you meet Bob & Tim each time, but I know Katie is my best friend in game [yeaahh, red heart, get it] so I assume it's your best female counterpart.

It's starting to feel like it's getting down to the wire with finishing the endings, but I don't feel rushed or anything. Did you get the Robot Tree event? That was cute nonsense right there.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find random fruit under trees that they can't even pick up?
