So uh, I'm amazed there's no topic on this movie yet.

I loved it. I haven't been so excited for a movie in a long time. I don't think I've ever enjoyed every minute of a film so much either. Maybe I'm a little obsessed or exaggerating, but this movie will absolutely brilliant in my mind. Each day that goes by saddens me that I'm not watching it again D:

When I first saw the preview my initial thought was: "Wow, another stupid movie based off of a 10 page book!" Looking at reviews and thoughts of other people makes me get excited for this movie! I'm hoping my friends will go with me on Thursday or Friday because I have no school! The reviews describe it as a movie where children will like it, but older, and more mature people will actually understand the underlying moral of the movie. They said what's nice is not only does each wild thing reflect a part of Max (the main character), but each one has one of it's own personalities that you lean to love! This overall sounds like such a great movie! :D

One point I really loved of the movie is that they never broke away and made you feel like "Oh, so it's just his imagination." If you want to believe he actually found these wild things and had this experience, you can do so. The foreshadowing at the beginning is just wonderful too. The movie feels just so complete. And I'm so happy they did not spoil the ending.

But yes, as ZBoy mentioned adults will appreciate the underlying themes a lot more than the kids. Apparently ticket sales have shown that 43% of viewers were over the age of 18. I actually only recall one child in the entire theatre when I saw it. Even though the video may be based off a children's book, kids will not see it at all the way adults do. I'm glad I could really appreciate the underlying work.

My mom and I saw it this passed weekend. I like it, and I'd be willing to see it again sometime. Some parts I found a little boring, mostly in the beginning, but overall I thought it was a a good, entertaining movie.

I thought the beginning was pretty fun. I especially love how it pretty much tells exactly what will happen with the rest of the movie. Also, the title sequence was amusing.

I so badly want to see this movie again ]: I seem to be one of the few people who've become obsessed with it. Others just say that it was an alright movie. Oh well. I wonder why must excitement is.

On Sunday, I went to STC and I was going to watch it thereeee. ;w;
Well, I mainly went cause I needed to shop, but then I wanted to watch it cause I saw the commercial and read the book when I was little.

Was it really that good? ._______.

I wanted to see it, but my mom wasn't interested in watching a kiddy movie with me.

I absolutely loved the movie. I just don't know what else to tell you. It was a lot of fun and every minute I felt incredibly happy to just sit there and enjoy it.

I read somewhere that the movie wasn't intended for kids. Some kids got scared while seeing the movie too.

As I mentioned before 43% of the people who watched this movie on the weekend were adults. I believe they knew full well a lot of the audience was going to be adults who read the book as a kid. The depth to the movie shows through a lot, and I don't think most kids would actually get it.

Yeah, but for some reason the commercials make it seem like it's for kids? I guess not as much as other ones, but well, now I want to see it!

I was watching some interviews and behind the scenes stuff. I still haven't found the videos I saw on the weekend that got taken down from YouTube though :( I didn't get to watch all of them.

Apparently there were a total of 56 different wolf suits for the entire movie. I figured there were a few, but I never imaged 56. Supposedly each one has a different amount of dirt on it.

Having not gotten a chance to see the movie again, I'm sort of happy about that. I think my hype would probably die if I saw the movie again so soon. I like looking for new information on the movie or finding out new facts. But if I saw the movie I'd probably stop being so obsessed about it. Ah well. I can wait for release.

I loved this movie. I don't know what more I can tell you. I've never been so excited about a movie. Normally my enthusiasm would have worn off by now, but everyday I think about seeing it again.

Also, 70% of the marketing expenses went towards adults. Children are not the target audience.

See, that was the thing that was holding me back. I figured it was a kids movie or something, not that I don't occasionally watch a kids movie lolz. What do you think makes it so good?

For one, the movie is very different from anything I've ever seen. The overall feel is very unique. You can tell there was a lot of effort that went into the movie by a great deal of professionals. You need also realize this movie was 18 years in the making. Even when Spike Jonze agreed to make it there was still a ten year period between then and release. The movie itself took about four years to actually produce. Largely, the film had to be done in such a way that it would honour the book and reflect Maurice Sendak's true intentions.

Second, I just love every moment of the movie. I know I'm exaggerating perhaps, but I have never been so happy to sit there and watch a film before. I felt a very strong emotional connection, I suppose.

All I can really tell you is to watch it and see for yourself. I know a number of people who weren't too impressed but thought it was okay. To me this movie is just very special.

I'm sold! I'l try and make plans to go see it soon. Maybe for Thanksgiving break or something, if it's still showing. But I will for sure try to see it!

I seen an hour long thing on some channel the other day on this movie.

I still haven't seen it but don't think I'll get a chance til it comes out on dvd.

I love the fact that they used real puppets for the Wild Things. Spike Jonze has so much talent.

Saffy, have you seen "Being John Malkovich"? That's another one of Spike's movies and you'll see there that from the beginning he's made weird movies that have very unique feels to them.
