What are some cool areas of your neighbourhood, town, or city? Anything you'd love to show someone if they ever visited? What makes where you live interesting?
Try to avoid posting anything that might give away the exact whereabouts of where you live :p That's not the goal! I was discussing a portion of Toronto's subway with Toaster Boy that I always found exciting. Essentially, you go out a tunnel underneath a large bridge where you are suspended by what may be ten stories above the ground. There is an incredible feel of awesomeness and fear as the subway makes the crossing. I really can't describe it much better, as you'd need to experience it yourself. Buuut, I did manage to find some videos people have posted which almost do justice. |

Was just there yesterday. :3 (IMG:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/rinfin/f37a4f5b.jpg) (IMG:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/rinfin/1c882331.jpg) Too bad I almost never go down to Balboa Park, it's one of my favorite places in the city. But my dad doesn't know what "leisurely stroll" means, everything to him is like a list of errands (ugh shopping with him SUCKS). So I've never actually had the time to take a walk and enjoy the history of the place, it's always this-or-that museum. It's pretty far away too. |

Damnit Fin, making me miss California.
I don't ever bother to take pictures or anything, but people who don't live here seem to really be all into the Cape Cod beaches, lighthouses, and quaint little townhouses from the 1600's. (IMG:http://z.about.com/d/gaytravel/1/0/J/1/-/-/provincetown_wellfleet_beach.jpg) |

Beautiful view of Parliament Hill. Incidently, the view behind the photographer is rather ugly and industrial (Gatineau) (IMG:http://www.pixelphoto.ca/images/CanalWinter.jpg) I could skate to school if I wanted. I don't live near the canal so it doesn't make much sense. |

Back when the King Tut exhibit was there. I swear I've been to that museum so many times it's not even funny. Seriously, I don't think it's normal for a person to have gone to the same art museum 25+ times. (IMG:http://www.walkstop.com/blog/images/20080713172124_dallasball.jpg) I've been wanting to eat at this restaurant for a long waffleing time. They just finished remodeling and apparently some new management's moved in and made the place better. >:D |

Will upload some of my own when I have time.
For now, Google Images is my friend: (IMG:http://images.travelpod.com/users/mylifesjourney/1.1249299073.brighton-pavillion.jpg) Royal Pavillion, which was the holiday palace for George IV (IMG:http://www.solarnavigator.net/geography/sussex/sussex_images/brighton_sussex_west_pier_burning_down.jpg) (IMG:http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/03/08/f1/west-pier.jpg) I remember watching it burn (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) It's more of a sight now, I guess. (IMG:http://homepages.pavilion.co.uk/nmarchant/hove83l.jpg) Brunswick square, victorian architecture etc. |

All we have is the Dublin Dr. Pepper Plant, which is the oldest bottling company that uses Pure Cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrups....It was founded in 1891.

The Hari Krishna (a sect of Hinduism) built this, The Palace of Gold, as a place of worship to Brahman or one of his humanoid manifestations "Krishna". It's very odd to see something of this nature in a place like West Virginia, admittingly, but it's here. There are statues of Krishna are everywhere, and the architecture is just breath-taking. |

Roy Thompson Hall :D Somehow I only managed to find this place last summer. (IMG:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v352/SafaiaRyuujin/IMAG0126-1.jpg) Johnny Five was brutally beaten right here :( Roy Thompson Hall is just around the corner. (IMG:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v352/SafaiaRyuujin/IMAG0129.jpg) Formerly known as "The Paramount," now "Scotiabank Theatre." I love the big cube and Chapters is awesome. |

The Rideau Canal looks beautiful, Guitar Smasher. I'm looking forward to Ottawa! Also, what is that spider thing?
After many years of wondering what this interesting house was in my neighbourhood, I finally found out it the Consulate General of Poland. Suddenly, I'm disappointed that house won't be going for sale :[ (IMG:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/31/Consulate_General_of_the_Republic_of_Poland_in_Toronto.jpg/800px-Consulate_General_of_the_Republic_of_Poland_in_Toronto.jpg) |
