If you can, I would definitely just take the class without going into a program. It'll probably be cheaper and a great way to kind of test the water.

Lindstrom, I know what you're getting at. There's a lot more to writing than simply knowing how to write. It's about the stories and the experiences. It's what makes writing interesting and worthwhile. I'd like to take Creative Writing courses to further develop the skills necessary in writing. Not that I feel I am lacking, but that I feel I could use the opportunity to improve. Of course I'd be making the effort to broaden my horizons and explore new experiences. There's improving your writing skills and and then there's having material.

Just bear in mind there's no such thing as the New York Times' Best Written List.

And again I'm well aware of that. I'm not suggesting I only take a Creative Written class and then forgo actually gaining new knowledge or experiences on what to write about. However, such a class would put me in a position where I'd get to write more often and on a regular basis. It would give me the experience of writing.

And sure, you can argue all you'd like that I could easily do that now. But it's not the same.

Right after I get my diploma from graduating night school, I really want to go to either ITT Tech or Unitech Miama and get an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Information Technology.

The thing is, I wanted to do at least 8 years of college working with different things.
I want to get a degree in so many different fields that sometimes it's actually hard to stick with one course so I'm constantly changing my mind.
I'm still stuck on what college I actually want to go to.
Honestly, I need some suggestions :/

Many people go to university or college to find out they'd rather go somewhere else. Don't feel as though the decision you make now is permanent. You may be wasting time and money by not immediately choosing the right path, but you may never know the right path unless you try another one. Go for what interests you now and you think you would like to do down the road. Go for happiness and meaning.

At 14, I haven't even chosen my A-levels yet so I've got quite a lot of choice. I'm doing an A/S (which is like half an A-level) in Ethics and Philosophy as well as in French, plus GCSEs in Art and Sociology as well as all the compulsory ones, and I'm pretty much set to get A - A*s across the board, so I could really study anything I want at college/university.
I'm definately gonna do Politics and probably Law, with the strong possibilities of Economics, A2 Ethics/Philosophy and maybe History and Psychology, or even Biology. Looking ahead, I see myself doing a degree in Politics or Law, but as I said, at the point I'm at it could really go either way.
I plan to go to Cambridge like my sister, but I'm not entirely sure if I'm up to it. I'll apply regardless, but I'll probably end up going to the University of London or something.

I just thought I'd follow up, given I made this topic and all. Come September I will be working to attain a Master of Computer Science from Carleton University :) I'm starting to prepare my mind for the sadness that is.

few I'm kind of jealous that you know what to do :3

I still havn't decided what to do after I got the Bachelors Degree in Japanese....

My parents want me to make a second bachelor in tourism or something like that (for them it should be economics...but I'm not near smart enough for ecenomics and numbers and stuff....)

As for me? I would like to work and travel in Japan or Sweden for one year....and than I dunno find a job....but somehow I have the feeling this won't be as easy~

so for now I concentrate to get my bachelor degree...and then...I will see what happens~

I hear of many people going to Japan to teach English. Would you be able to do that?

acutally...as much as I love japan...I couldn't imagine to live there longer than...I dunno....1 year or so :3

so I would like to stay here in my hometown~ but where is work I will go

funnily...I have no problem with the idea to live in canada or great britain or ireland for a longer time....

as for teaching...I'm not sooo sure this is my field...because I'm terrible impatient when it comes to grasping concepts...I mean I have slow moments to (especially when it comes to math) but normally I get stuff like this really quick....(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

so, I might be able to teach english...but with not being native, and many natives going there...my chances might not be as good~

Why do you feel you could live in Canada longer? Have you ever been here?

What was your initial intention in getting a Bachelor's degree Japanese?
