The statistics presented above in the regular season are actually not as close as you'd think. I'll compare 2001-2007 to give you a more in-depth analysis.

In five out of those seven seasons, Manning had the higher completion percentage.

In five of the seven seasons, Manning passed for more yards.

In five of the seven seasons, Manning threw more touchdowns.

In four out of the seven seasons, Manning threw less interceptions.

In five out of the seven seasons, Manning fumbled less (once they were tied).

In five out of the seven seasons, Manning had the higher quarterback rating.

But if you want to look at the career numbers...

Manning has passed for over 4,000 yards nine times, Brady has only done so twice.

Manning has thrown over 30 touchdown passes four times, Brady has only done so once.

Manning has completed over 65 percent of his passes seven times, Brady has only done so once.

Manning has posted a quarterback rating over 90.0 eight times, Brady has only done so three times.

Manning has posted a quarterback rating over 90.0 eight times, Brady has only done so three times.

Manning is actually the humblest Quarterback I know. He never talks until he wins, and he can sure win.

PLUS, Manning never had an offense. He made those recievers great. If you were to take Wayne or Clark and put them on a team with an average QB, they wouldn't have the numbers they have at all.

I feel that Brady is a very good player playing for a great team and Manning is a great player playing for a very good team

But like I said Manning has had a better offense to work with in all of those years but 2007. While Brady was working with Branch and Brown Manning had Harrison and Wayne so his stats are bound to be better. Both Wayne and Harrison were first round talents before Manning even threw them a pass, he also had Edgerrin James in his prime to hand off to.

This isn't very accurate since I'm not particularly close to either of them but Brady seems to be a better team mate too. When I watch close Patriots games and they're behind Brady is always positive and trying to fire up his players while Manning seems to just sulk, even that kicker spoke out against Peyton's negativity in those situations.

But did you noticed this year that when you remove the defense, that Brady isn't really Brady? Manning doesn't really have a defense either, if the JETS can get up 17-6 on a passing game.

Put rookie recievers with Manning and Brady and see which has the better season. I think it's Manning because he puts balls where you just can't not catch it.

I agree with you on the fact that Brady does seem to try and be more postitive. But that doesn't win games, unfortuantly.

Brady still had his second best statistical season after 2007, and you have to keep in mind he's coming off a major injury and missed an entire season.

If a game's close in a pressured situation would you not want to be led by a guy who's fired and up and confident in winning the game?a great QB leads by example. His defenses played a huge part of course but that kind of attitude wins Super Bowls and is part of the reason he's 14-4 in the playoffs.

If I'm down and in a pressured situation, I'd like a person whose focused on the situation. But that's just me.

Also, the injury he's coming off of should be fine in the playoffs. But under pressure he absolutely crumbled, Ints and Fumbles are not what I want in my current quarterback.

That's not to say he's not focused on what's going on, he's just a little more positive about it.

Manning's TDs to INTs in the playoffs is 27-18, Brady's is 28-15. In the most pressured situation, The Super Bowl, he led two winning drives. People always say Vinatieri made the kicks but who always got them in range with barely any time left on the clock? Unfortunately I couldn't find his stats in the Super Bowl but they're pretty darn good.

Haha, I'm done arguing over statisitcs for now. If Brady can prove he can keep up with Manning in the next couple of seasons, I'll probably rule them equal. The Colts aren't winning because of their team, they're winning because of Manning.

Yeah I should probably get some sleep.

They'll have to win with only Manning since Freeney's out, this lets the Saints give Mathis a lot more attention and Brees should get plenty of time to take advantage of the two rookie corners.

I think the majority of people want the Saints to win but think the Colts will actually do it, personally I think both teams have amazing offenses but the Saints defense is better and that's why I like them in this game. Teams who are playing their first Super Bowl in franchise history don't have a great record though.

Although everyone where I am seems to be rooting for the Saints, I really have to say that I'm "rooting" for the Colts, though I probably could care less either way--they're both teams that I don't have a bias towards.

However, I do think that they only reason the Saints are even in the Bowl (over the Vikings, I mean) is due to the fact that Favre made a huuuge mistake at the end of their game. Throwing that pass when they were close enough to score a field goal and win was one of the like, worst decisions that entire game. You could tell he was annoyed with himself after the play, too, once the Saints had intercepted. And then they just pranced into victory out of luck.

Whereas I think the Colts are a much stronger team. If they're still good, they should either blow the Saints out of the water or at least give them a good game (but still beat them).

I agree with you completely Katie, Favre's mistake was definitely a big gift. h-e-l-l-o operator, he could've RAN for a bit of yards, he had an open field in front of him. And even if not, you DON'T throw across the middle on the run. Plus you had a timeout, you could've taken anything but a turnover.

Hahahaha that was awesome. God I hate Favre, I still hold a grudge over XXXI.

Yeah they were lucky there but they did a lot to get to that situation in the first place and the Vikings were Super Bowl contenders themselves this year. The Colts are a better team normally but losing Freeney makes a huge difference, we'll see on Sunday how well Mathis and the other guys stand up but life's going to be hard for the Colts D without a good pass rush.

The Saints did, but they got reaaally lucky if you ask me. Games where the opponent has five turnovers and are about to win are not common.

waffle the Saints. But they'll probably win considering they're the luckiest team playing, coming out of last week.

As far as I'm concerned, this bowl ain't super without the vikes playing.

I'm Cowboys and Steelers all the way, and neither of them were GOOD this year, so I'm not particurally interested in the Superbowl. Frankly, I don't have the time to be a huge football fanatic. :/

That and the fact I've never paid a great deal of time watching the Colts, and in all honesty I only knew about the Saints vaguely.

Wow. Sorry about the bad grammar. I think I'll blame it on the fact that I was high on cold medicine. Still am.

Anyways, if the Saint win the superbowl, I'll never hear the end of it at school. My whole cooking table is made up of the Drew Brees fanclub. *gag*

Well, that certainly sucks for you. I remember Superbowl XLII it was either the Giants fans would be douches or the Patriots fans would be douches. I can't remember a more exciting Superbowl that I didn't care about the outcome.

Hah personally I wasn't too fond of Super Bowl XLII but I can definitely see why it was awesome for neutral fans.

Hope we get another classic tonight

I think this could be a close, exciting game. That all depends on if the Saints can keep up with Manning after he figures out their defense.
