How luchy were you!, getting rare animals Options

Ok, I havent gone to the part of getting rare livestock (meaning black -sheep, goat and horses) and I won't be getting them anytime soon thanks to my wii problems (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) , but I know that by breeding your livestock you can get some pretty looking animals. So, if you have one how did you manage to breed it? Do you have to make something special than just giving the formula?

I have both the white and black horse. I didnt do anything special, I just gave my horse a miracle potion, it gave birth to a white horse, then I gave that horse a miracle potion and it gave birth to a black horse.

I think that if you save the night before your animal gives birth, you can reset the game each time until you get the color of animal you want.
