Originally I was going to just create a "Last Album Bought" thread but I figured "Latest Music Craze" would serve more of a purpose. What with you know, people not buying albums and obtaining their music from less that legal means most of the time.
So what music have you been into lately? What albums have you picked up and had playing non-stop? I've been into Arcade Fire all this week. I'm not sure what set it off as I've had a number of their songs since February. But their sound really appeals to me. It's not a generic rock or country song. They sound very unique and there's a certain feel about their music that I just love. Their French songs are quite nice too. So today after hearing Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels) at a restaurant I knew I had to go out and get their albums. I bought Funeral and Neon Bible during my lunch break. Funeral (IMG:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/25/ArcadeFireFuneralCover.jpg) Neon Bible (IMG:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ea/Arcade_Fire_-_Neon_Bible.jpg) I highly recommend giving the band a shot. Their songs are absolutely beautiful and metaphorical. And for that reason I'm going to post two arbitrary videos. No Cars Go Wake Up Now what's been your musical craze recently? |

Been into Arcade Fire for quite awhile actually. I know someone on another music forum that actually lived with a few of these band members quite a few years ago.
I love the song they're using for 'Where the Wild Things Are' promos. Which you have posted here haha. Hmmm... I've been kind of bored of all my music lately and not really listening to anything. I need to find a new band. -.- |

A few weeks ago I was listening to The Aquabats a lot. Now they're back to just being in the regular rotation of muzacs and I've got nothing particularly strong right now.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. And what forum exactly do you go to?
I started listening to Neon Bible today, which I really hadn't done much of before. Intervention and the song Neon Bible were both very awesome. I'll be listening to them some more. I saw you mention Mr Blue Sky a few days ago, which lead to me listening to it on a daily basis. Thanks for that, Darth :) |

I don't think I've heard anything really good recently. It seems like good music died at the end of the nineties.

I know, right? It's so frickin' awesome.
I think at the moment I may be interested in finding more Kool & The Gang than Jungle Boogie and Celebration. |

It really is. The song grew up me really quickly and got stuck in my head a lot. I bought it on iTunes to listen to on my way to work. It became my routine for the week :]
Mr. Blue Sky Please tell me why You had to hide away For so long (so long) Where did we go wrong? |

It's a small forum for the band Interpol and it has people from every corner of the earth but it smaller than this forum and pretty tight knit. A lot of them have known people that are now famous which is very cool. I believe them because the usually have personal photos and interesting stories lol.

Sure, if I can find them again lol. I'll have to ask them for them if I can't find them after searching that forum.
They had a lot of weird party stories and the obvious kinds of things from bands. --- Vampire Weekend! Bought their first album a year ago and they finally released a new song for their second album coming out in Januray. If you haven't heard this band I HIGHLY suggest giving them a listen. Vampire Weekend - Horchata And then Grizzly Bear. I heard this song on, surprisingly, MTV {the Canadian version of course..} News and I loved it. Very interesting video too. Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks |

I've been listening to the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack quite a bit D: It's all I can do since no one wants to go watch the movie with me anymore.

Nobody has current music craze? Surely, I'm not the only one who gets hooked on new artists or albums.
I've been listening to Leona Lewis' album Echo a lot lately. I am really enjoying her music :) ^ Not from the Echo album, but I do like this song too. |

I don't think I've heard anything really good recently. It seems like good music died at the end of the nineties. Sadly, I agree with you. I haven't really had a music craze since decent music died out. However, I have been listening to the Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections a bit recently. (Mostly to fuel my love for the KH fandom...) But I wouldn't call it a craze. I have a habit of listening to songs/albums repeatedly even if I've heard them a thousand times and ran into them fifteen years ago. I guess I just don't get into artists like most people do. If I happen to hear a good song and I know I don't have the mp3, I'll search iTunes and listen to it til I've worn it out, but I won't go nuts over the band or even really look at what else they have to offer unless I come across it somewhere else. I'm just not like that. |
