Rune Factory marriage glitch, Don't marry Melody... Options

I've noticed that marrying Melody on the first Rune Factory game means that she'll stop working in the bath house, and you'll never be able to use it again to cure your rune/health points, a serious hindrance if you want to be able to do a lot of things in one day. Don't marry her until you've completed the game or it'll be very difficult.
(seriously though, there's like no difference to your game if you marry a different girl; in Rune Factory, after marriage the girls have exactly the same routines - do nothing all day - so you're not missing out on much)
I don't know whether this applies to the original Japanese version.
