So, I've been debating for a while now about buying Little King's Story or not.. If you didn't know, it's produced by Yasuhiro Wada, creator of Harvest moon, and Yoshirou Kimura, who's known for his work on cult hits Moon: Remix RPG Adventure and Chulip. It's gotten reviews in the 9/10 area and it looks fairly interesting, but something is holding me back.
What are your opinions? Little King's Story Official Site(For more info, if you are interested..) |

I was considering making a topic for this game. Kyle's been playing it for the past few days since it's been out in Europe for a few months now. I want to get it soon :P
Also, did you know there's polygamy? :0 |

Darn. I was gonna make this topic. Haha.
From what I've seen. It's like Harvest Moon and Pikimin. So I'm buying it. Plus, XSeed hasn't dissapointed me yet. |

Just hope I can afford it. Buying a new bed this month, too.. Bluh, expenses.
But polygamy is definitely a reason to try... |

I got this game today, along with Magical Melody for the Wii. It's pretty awesome. It's sort of like Pikmin and Animal crossing so far. But you can apparently force, or woo people in to marrying you soon.

Little King's Story is quite amazing. A buddy of mine rented it for me, so I had some decent hands on time with it.
The basis of the game is world domination. You use your villagers to hunt, dig and adventure your way around the land, collecting Bol (the currency) and rebuilding your kingdom. In one aspect it's like Pikmin: you bring your units about and press A to fire them into things you want them to interact with. In another, it's like AC, in how you interact with the town, rebuilding it to it's standards. Everything about this game has been great. XSeed always makes a good game though, so I shouldn't be surprised. Anyone who enjoys this type of game should definitely purchase it, because I certainly will. A rent simply isn't enough. |

Awesome! I just married the first Princess, Apricot. I'm also filthy rich after I beat the Oni king, and the castle is bigger now. This game is so addicting.

Darn it, Lenyo. You're making me jealous. There are just too many games right now to play... Have you met the Japanese Princess Shizuka yet?

Just started playing and it's already great. Among the random "Don't care" type names is Cheech, Chong, Zaphod, Cole, Elvis, and Kong. I'm very tempted to use Kong or Zaphod.
edit: And now I get a ton of disc read errors and my Wii is really loud. This is bad. |

People? Well, there are a bunch of villagers with varying names. So it would be better if I listed the classes
Carefree Child: Is useless for everything except climbing up trees. Put them in the school to turn them into adults. Carefree Adult: An adult who can only dig. Every adult starts out this way. Grunt: A soldier who can latch onto enemies. Is perfect for fighting but not much else. Hardworking Farmer: A worker who can dig things up and many other things. Don't put 'em on the battlefield though. Carpenter: Can build bridges and staircases. Lumberjack: Can cut down logs and wood. Hunter: Can shoot enemies from afar. With limited ammo each trip though. Miner: Can break up big rocks. Hardened soldier: A stronger grunt with greater defense, attack, and stamina. Then there's the princesses, I only have met three though. Princess Apricot: A princess that resembles Princess Peach. She's very affectionate and loving. Princess Boquet: The math wiz. She loves equations and anything that can be derived by science. She seems to think she has no equal. But has a soft spot at times. (She looks a lot like Mary from HM!) Princess Fatwad (I forgot her name. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ): She's the overweight princess who loves to eat... That's pretty much it. Then there's you- Prince Corobo, a once timid boy who discovered a crown one day. And became the charismatic king of Alpoko. Whether or not you're a cruel leader, a clever leader, or a courageous leader, is up to the player. |
