After my friend left I popped in the disc and tried to practice on my Mii/Mach Bike, and I ended up beating my old time at Moonview by about 6 seconds. I guess I must've had an old record or something. Anyway I started practicing on it with Dry Bowser in the Honeycoup. At first it was so bad that I couldn't get past the first car, now I can get up to the third lap where it starts going into those tunnels with the speed boosters. Anyway at the rate I've been clearing laps, I'll probably end up around 2:01 or so. Not sure I can get any better than that with Craposaurus.
The code for my Dry Bowser license (Capt. Steve) is 0818-3366-7948 |

OMGFINALLY.
Got my time down to 2.00.something. <33 Now to go edit my friend list and stuuuff. Charmy: Rosalina's my character of choice, too, on the Wario Bike. :DD She so pretty and pushes people off so nicely. But Peach and the Mach Bike had to be used for that eeeevil Moonview Highway. XD; edit: 2:00.392! editedit: Make that 1:59.405. |

Ugh, sorry, I think I'm gonna have to drop out... ><
Between another series of short-to-medium-haul roadtrips my mom has decided upon (AGAIN!! xx;), and a big transcription project that was thrust upon me the other day... It would be tough. I swear, my mom is insane. Er, anyway, I can see that you guys would CREAM me anyway; I somehow miraculously managed to beat each grand prix in the game, but, uh... My time trials records aren't anything to brag about. XD Back in the days of MK64, I was really good at that kind of stuff, but my hand-eye coordination seems to have taken a hit over the years. It's weird. But, I'll still add everyone's friend code and would be happy to play when I do have time~. |

Aw, darn, looks like I'll have to go improve upon my time then. Not exactly sure how I'll go about trimming three seconds though, but I can see some options available.
Also, could people post in the Mario Kart Wii Time Trials? It'd be neat to see how everyone's doing :3 Though I guess some might not like showing off their score if they're in the lead. |

Wouldn't matter if they'd logged into the WiFi recently. You can check peoples' scores out there. xP I also read something at the bottom of the screen saying, "Come back often to send and receive rankings" or something like that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Nice. I wish someone'd log into the WiFi. Last night racing with Oscar was really fun!! :D But man, there's no way I'll get out of the bottom two. Seriously. I got to 2:08 seconds, right? Then Oscar moved up to 2:06, and I'm STILL in last. x-x C'est la vie.

I took Katie's advice and tried Peach on the Mach bike. I was able to get 2:00.835 but I'm not sure how I'll break the 2 minute mark. That's a toughie.

I started practicing with that. I need to get used to it. I'm used to the bikes like ZipZip and stuff. D:

Lindstrom: I added you. Everyone, if they want, make sure to add the new Lindstrom.
Dang, you guys keep getting better and better times! Marie: It's okay Marie. Thanks for trying anyways! With Marie gone, there will now only be one loser for the first round. |

I'd still like to know how Lindstrom pulled off a time around 1:56. I can't even crack 2:00 yet.

Seems like Zen beat my time! I'm now last, but I still have only three people on my list! If I don't have you by Sunday night, I'm going to put you in last place and if there's more than one, I'll randomly pick someone.

Don't take any of those side jumps, ride the inside track as often as you can, always wheelie or drift if possible, don't hit anything, not even walls, hit all the boosters (though with a Mach Bike you can skip one in the tunnel if you're drifting). When I get on my Wii I think I might either send you my ghost or I'll use my capture device to put that one on Youtube.

^I've only tried about an hour. I have a feeling if I go try another hour, I'll do way better.
But sure, it would be great to see how you got your time! |

Please send it. I know I drive in the middle of the road more often than I probably should. I've considered taking the inner-most portion of the road but that's significantly more risky.

Mine was pretty good. I haven't beaten it for a while now, though. *stretches thumb* It huuuuurts. x-x But I beat both Charmy and Oscar, so I'm not losing. 8D LOL! But yeah, I think I only have, Oscar, Lindstrom, Saffy, and Charmy on my list....

You have Lindstrom? I don't have him, but it means I'll get him soon!
Ha! Reminds me of Pokemon cards. I'll trade you my Charmy for your Lindstrom? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

lawl, Saffers, lawl.
ARGH. Now I must beat Lindy, somehow. >:0 The trickiest part for me is memorizing where all the cars are on the course in each lap so as to predict which course to take. Also, I only make one jump-flip thing in the entire course, and it seems to help me some--not tellin' where, though. ;D Anyway, do you guys usually do manual or automatic drifts? I'm just not used to the manual drive in this game as compared to Double Dash, but I dunno if manual eventually makes things easier or not. |

Manual drift all the way. You gotta get those mini-boosts from drifting to get extra time. Also, I don't take any jumps in my time trial. Those jumps at the start on the side just slow you down.
Wheelies are huge too. They're half of why bikes are way better than karts, the other half being their incredibly sharp turning. This course has a lot of straight-aways and when I'm playing on a kart I have a lot of time to just go straight doing nothing until I get to a turn or a booster. |

I seem to have found a way to skim a few seconds off my time. I find I can get very close but then I'll accidentally hit a car now that I'm stay more to the inside of the track. I can't wait until I finally nail this down though.
Also, you use automatic? I thought that was for new people to make the game easier D: I use manual all the way too. You need those speed boosts. Wheelies are great for bikes as well. Though I find I press R a lot to cancel them when I should probably press down. I miss boosts this way. |
