Well, in A Wonderful Life, it took me less then 1 year, the only exception was when I wanted to marry Nami. As for the others that I've played (DS, MFOMT and hopefully Cute)? 4 years.

...Did I mention that I choose the easier bachlor/ettes? I guess I must be really bad at the games. Not that it matters anyways, because I still love 'em anyways.

I usually get married in my second year. I like to play the first without having the wife there :] Typically it's in the spring.

Depending if it's the first time I've played the game. The first time, it may take me to year 3 to marry (the exception being AWL/ANWL--I always get married really fast). But, if it's a game I've played a lot and know what everyone likes, it's not as hard. While I'm not very good at getting married, I tend to like the "simple" girl/boys, so that makes it easier.

When I first played Harvest Moon games, I would always get married within a year. But then I realized I prefer taking my time, because moving too fast means that I'll get bored that much sooner, so now I usually focus on farming for 3-5 years before even trying to get married...

I should wait because I do get bored easly. But I never do... Poor Lumnia in HMDS has been going to have a baby for along time in real life now. It wouldn't have been so bad except my HMDS kept eraseing my game and I got fed up. Though I did learn to use my other file to back up my game... Isn't that fun.

After I've upgraded everything on my farm I normally get married. That normally takes around two years.

I tend to marry as soon as possible (within a year), though, I will have to wait in Animal Parade. I am planning on marrying the Harvest King, and I doubt I'll manage to complete the plot and win him over within one year.

I do the same, I like to start off going after the spouse first thing. It's probably the funnest part of the game, because it can be a challenge. c:

I usually get married really fast. In rf2 I got married to Rosalind a few days before the Dance festival in the 1st year (can't remember the exact date) and in Tot I got married to Jin on the 28th of summer 1st year. By the time I get married my farm is usually pretty well developed.

I get married as soon as possible, usually within the first year, and then I start doing the farming and the storyline-ing (the part that wasn't involved in unlocking the marriage candidate, at least). That way, I get to meet my kid before I lose interest.

With the exception of AWL/AnWL where you were engaged in marriage with or without your choice /by/ the first year. ^^ :O Marlin (right?) married me on the second file, even though he rejected my first proposal for some odd reason (x3). He... Came back to me... Cx

* Although I believe MM was pretty hard... At least for me. I had Alex at eight hearts and I didn't get the blue feather nor knew how to buy the "Big Bed"... x3 I still don't. Then Gwen, the same... Katie... And possibly two others. ^^

Also, in ToT's first file I rushed through the 'child' stage to see what Ose's female child looked like. (At this time there was NO picture.) But I had a reason, lol.

But overall, I'd prefer to take my time. <3
