So, I was looking at some stuff my friends and I had put up on YouTube, when I realized I could share my YouTube famedom with all of you to watch and comment on. I must warn you, the videos that you see in this thread may or may not be rated for a younger audience, so with that being said EXTREME VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. Please do not watch these if you are startled, offended or otherwise irritated by things that may appear sketchy.
Otherwise, enjoy the videos. Kudos to those who can figure out what Zelda game the music is from. 7:06 - 7:19 (Closest to the camera, far right, opening the blind thingy) :P 5:52 - 5:57 (green shirt, far right) :P |

Oh god, those were hilarious. My friends and I used to have videos when we'd stay up all night.. Not as funny and hopefully not on anyones computers anymore haha.
When you were staring infront of the blank tv screen it would've been better if you would've said, "They're heeeerrre." Like from Poltergeist. :P And very cool to be in a movie! Like above, how'd you manage that? |

Oscar: Good! That's what we were trying to achieve. Haha. He's actually not my roommate, but a good friend of mine. We wanted to make an actual movie, but instead ended up with that. Mah doggie is in the credits, his name is Zeus.
One of my professors told me about a place you can sign up to be in movies. If you pay the fees, you can be an actor, but I didn't so I could only apply as an extra, and when I did, like three days later they said they were filming that movie in the Pittsburgh area (Kennywood, to be exact, which is our amusement park) and I accepted. I originally wasn't going to have parts like that where you could see me so well, but I lucked out when the lady asked for volunteers to do some scenes that they needed people in right away. So I took it. And it was worth it. The experience was far beyond anything I had ever imagined, and I would definitely do it again. Oh, I only worked one day, and got paid $100 USD. :P Miitan: Haha, yeah, we need to make the third one soon. I love doing that kind of stuff. Oh and of course my puppy is a star, he was born for it. :P -showers in kudos and says in a Super Smash Bros.-like voice- CONGRATULATIONS! :O IdlersDream: Haha yeah doing random stuff like that is the epitome of what I live for, so I really enjoy it. While saying that would have been cool, it would have taken away from the whole What the mean waffles experience, because that would have made sense. It's a shame you still don't have your videos, I'm sure those would be quite amusing to see. |

Haha, more like quite embarassing.
I didn't realize extras were paid for things like that. Maybe because you were actually shown? That sounds like it would've been a fun experience. |

Actors (including extras) get paid depending on time on screen, whether or not their face is shown, whether or not they have audible lines, etc. The difference between having 0 lines and having 1 line is a surprising amount of money.

You are partially correct Lindy. While it's true, saying anything at all would have boosted my pay 10 fold, screentime did not determine my pay. I was paid an hourly rate for simply being there. There were some people they didn't use at all and still got a check, because they were there.
-Edit- The hourly rates may only apply to extras, and those not officially signed into SAG or something. |

Omg, that's the biggest kudo dosage I've ever see-- Okay, I couldn't keep a straight face. Lol. IGNORE ME...
I've always wanted to know what it's like for actors. Adventureland looks more "real" and less like a set.. Well, what I mean is how was it? Did you get treats to eat? Is the whole amusement park rented out for it? What did you talk about with Twilighty girl? Is everyone in the background backup, too? You certainly got one of the bigger backup roles, though. Two scenes: One with you pulling up stuff (What job was that anyway? Cleaning the park or?) The other suggests you were friends with the main character. I could make a whole back story from that. :D /endblocktxt |
