Hey everyone. I've been mentioning a lot for a long time that my Grandfather was terminally ill, and today he finally passed away. I know he's in a better place and he died happy and comfortable surrounded by family. That being said, I would still appreciate it if you could keep him in your hearts and prayers. Thank you.

Awe! Sousuke! When I seen this when I logged in I knew right away it was you. I'm soo sorry Sousuke and I had to go through the same thing earlier this year and it's so hard. I'm glad that he hopefully went away peacefully and thank god with his family around him, I'm sure he was very happy to have so much support and love from you and your family.
Like you said, he's now in a better place that's without sickness or all the other horrible things in this world. I'm still very sorry but hopefully this will take some stress off of you and your family that you don't have to watch him suffer any longer. I hope you're doing okay. |

Hang in there, Mr Sousuke. Losing a grandparent is never easy. Losing anyone is never easy... But you know that. Just keep your spirits up. And if you need to cry, that's cool too.

I'm sorry to hear it, Sou. I'm glad it was a peaceful passing though, the main thing now is to try and keep your spirits up and be glad he's not going to suffer anymore. I'm not very good at this kind of thing, so I don't know what else to say other then you have my condolences and prayers.

:'C I'm so sorry Sousuke! It must have been hard for you. May your grandfather live on in peace and harmony. I wouldn't know how it feels losing someone, but it must have been very tough especially seeing him in his sickness.
I'm sure he was happy to see all his loved ones around him before his death. ^^ (IMG:http://www.ranchstory.co.uk/forums/style_images/rs/folder_post_icons/icon3.gif) Again, may he rest in peace... <3 |

I'm sorry to hear that, Domeki. At the least he's no longer suffering and is in a better place. He had a lot of love in his final days, from what you've told me. I only wish I could be that lucky when it's my time.
Maybe it's not my business, but have there been any funeral plans? I remember you mentioning doing a reading for him. |

Hey, dude, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what you're going through, too; my grandfather passed away earlier this year as well. But maybe they're up in Heaven, chillin' out. :] I wish you well, and hope you and your family get through this tough time. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks again to everyone. And to reply to Saffy, I won't get a chance to read the poem I wrote during the service but the parish priest (who comforted my Grandfather many times in the past months) will be reading it himself. I'll also be one of the eldest grandchildren to put the burial shroud on the coffin. Other than that I don't know much.

I feel so very very sad right now. I realize I didn't know your grandfather, but I wish I was there to comfort you. You can ask people, right as soon as I heard about this I made plans in my head to hitch hike to Canada to come see you. =[
Many condolences, and I hope you are doing okay. I will most certainly keep your family in my prayers. |

Sorry about your grandpa, Domeki. I know what it's like to lose a grandpa, and it's terrible.
I'll pray that your grandfather finds rest in his new life, and that you and your family's hearts will be able to recover from your loss. |

Losing someone.... That happened to me recently, even though they weren't human I'll love them forever. I'm glad to hear you cared so much about your grandfather. From the sounds of it you two were really close. At least you got to spend the best times together. And that he passed peacefully, and you managed to say your goodbyes before you left....
Loosing someone you care so much about is never easy. It's good your taking it so well. And I feel horrible not knowing about him not being ill earlier. DX May his soul rest forever~ |

I'm very sorry to hear about your grandfather. But its good that he didn't die alone. And I will keep him in my heart and prayers if that will make you feel better.
