Aion, Computer mmorpg Options

Hey guys I was just surfing the web and I came across this computer mmorpg called Aion

it seems very interesting and I thought I would share it here....tell me what you think!

I've seen enough MMOs to say that really doesn't look original. Prettier than WoW, but probably suckier.

~Miitan, I would like to correct you. Unlike most Korean MMOs, its actually AMAZING.

I was an addicted player of WOW I will admit. The game featured great gameplay yet the graphics left you hungry for more. I quit the game, and my friend continued to play and also picked up the Aion demo.

The gameplay is similar to wow and easy to follow. The graphics are great and most of the bugs are ironed out because the game has been out in Korea for a few years. There are only 2 races and 4 classes, but there is a lot of depth to them and like other MMOs the classes evolve as you level. I would recommend it for those looking for a new MMO. Well, when it comes out. :P

A good friend of mine from the UK is testing it as we speak. She lucked into a decent game tester/developer position, and I get some decent insider's scoops on certain games. If you have a Wii, and you've heard of Lost Winds? Yeah, she was a part of that team.

That being said, she was telling me a little about this game, how it'll work, etc. Miitan's words are quite true, actually. The game isn't really that substantial in terms of gameplay. If you've played an MMO before, you've got exactly that in this game, however, visually the game is gorgeous. She said the transformations to the winged characters blow her away. I probably won't get it, I'll just wait for FFXIV.

In the US all you had to do to get a testing position was preorder it.

From what I could tell the first few levels were very similar to Warcraft. But that's as far as I know.

Not an open beta. She tests behind the scenes before a public release.

Yea, I get talked to the ear about this game from time to time. Basically people say its like WoW except it doesn't suck toosh. Still looks a little too wowish and I hate the h-e-l-l-o operator out of WoW. But I would probably try it if my computer wasn't chocolate pudding. Just saying to Miitan that I trust the reviews of certain friends and I can almost stake my life on the fact that this game is WoW like but way better. I've never played it, but like I said the people who talk to me about this game constantly know what they are talking about. Of course some of it is probably new game smell and they'll have more problems with it later.

I'm too cheap for this kind of thing, and besides, now that it's been likened to WoW I'll never go within a hundred miles of it.
