I had a brainstorm while playing Magical Melody as well as looking at pictures and videos of TOT and the new futuristic Harvest Moon. The same people could do a series about a country-kid moving to the city and getting an apartment/job. Also bachelors and bachelorettes will still be a must as well as rivals.

What would the gameplay focus on? I can't really think of any "city jobs" that'd make a particularly fun game when combined with a dating sim.

When I think about Harvest Moon in the city, the resulting game brings to mind a Harvest Moon / The Sims hybrid for some reason.

Moving Harvest Moon into the city isn't Harvest Moon anymore. It's going into the city. Harvest Moon = Rural farming. City Life = Urban working.

So you are thinking like the time of massive rice paddy fields where everyone wore some form of kimono/robe? That would be interesting.... I wouldn't mind that at all. I would rather have that then this Wind Bazaar excuse for Sweden.

A mix between Harvest Moon and Rune Factory. The God of Foxes and Rice Inari would be the harvest god/goddess and the foxes would be like harvest sprites. Demons and monsters would occasionally lay seige to the villiage, meaning you'd have to help defend it and your farm. Hired help would be a cool thing. Maybe rated T or something for creation of Sake by rice. More bachelors and bachelorettes. Etc . .
