Well, they could have the basic form for the child like in AP, and program it to take after either your or your spouse's hair and eye color. I still think it would be much easier and a lot less programming futz if your character at least had a natural hair/eye color that you chose at the beginning of the game. Maybe there would be the opportunity to dye it, but for the purpose of genetics there should be a natural combination.
Maybe I've said this before, but I WANNA STYLE MY KIDS' HAIR. ;-; I want a boy and a girl with long hair. Is that too much to ask? |

I think this would be a great option. I want my character to be unique looking, and maybe the children would obtain traits from the parents. But I think that's too much to ask. Anyway, I also want a female Rune Factory protagonist. *sigh*

Customization would be awesome! Even if they didn't do that though, I think it would be cool if they continued with what they did with AP where you could select a ToT protagonist or an AP protagonist. Imagine if at the beginning of the game though, you just picked one of any protaganist from every HM game. That would still be cool too.
As for kids, I would have to agree with Nurse Fin and say that the children should just look like the spouse. It would get very complicated and take a long process to create something where your children take resemblance of you. |

Customization, though cool would sort of take away from the game. Look at the clothing in ToT for example, it was mildly expensive, yet most of us bought it anyway. If we put more money towards better hair... well I dunno. I just think customization would be a better facet in customizing your farm, similar to HM DS but better graphics of course, or customizing the inside of your house. And by customizing your house I don't mean the TOT drag and drop in a 4x4 square. I mean easily choosing wall/floor/roof/outside wall/furniture and other color and then moving it all around. And then not making it so incredibly expensive.
If you look at the SIMS, a game that heavily relies on customization, 3/4 of the game is designing and the other 1/4 is killing your character or waiting for more money to design. |

I do like new clothes (customization), but the above poster is right.
I mean new clothes is pretty, but in a game like this it isn't a necessity. But as for more furniture, plants, animals, and upgrades! Now that's what I'm talking about! Also I wouldn't mind having at least 10 Bachelors/ettes, to choose from! And perhaps having the choice of what your kid looks like, that may not hurt either! |
