I'd prefer the turtle. Lion is acceptable as well.

Judging by the fact that I only have the cow (who has a jacked nose that I had to draw back on </3) and the sheep, I'd be pretty satisfied with anything they wanna give me. :D

He came jacked! I was so mad. XD
Like, he only had one of those little felt nose holes and it kept falling off. So I just traced it in black Sharpie on his face. Aaaand he still looks weird. But I love him anyway. <33 |

I think Gamestop is usually more on top of it than Natsume is. Geez, I can't stand the Natsume website. XD It's like, always behind on its own company's news, except of course, the all-important drawing contests. :P

The Natsume sight scares me. Maybe I'm going to the wrong one, though....

Haha Zen!
Their website is stupid. They need to be more creative! Their trailers never work for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) |

I'm really excited to see what the new rival kids english names will be. I'll bet Lucy stays, 'cause it's an uncreative mashup of the first syllable in each of her parents' names. ("Ru" and Shii" in Japanese, "Lu" and "Se" in English. And Luse isn't a real name, so.) And it's perfectly fine that way. It seems like something Luke and Selena would do. Roy, too, because they have no reason to change that. Though they still could, if someone at Natsume once dated a guy named Roy and he left her (or him) for a calico cat, but I see that as unlikely. It sounds perfectly fine in English (in fact it's more American than many of the Americanized names, as I see it.) and there's no characters with names that sound too much like Roy, so I don't see why they'd change it. Vivian's probably not going to stay, though. I like Veronica or Victoria or something like that, if they've got to change it. |

True, but I think Victoria would suit Vivian just fine if they decide to change her name, but they may surprise us all by keeping the names the same. Who knows? We'll have to wait and see I guess.

o-o I don't get it...:\ *is naïve* I think they'll change all the names just because they feel they have to. I mean seriously -- they changed Gil's name to GilL. Really, Natsume, really? That reminds me, is Gill's name pronounced like gill, like a fishie has? Or like Jill? Because I always pronounced it Jill, and then I saw some show where a character's name was Gill like gill. :\ I'm so confuuuuused!

Pretty sure it's Gill like a fish.
What surprised me was them changing Sheila to Selena. I mean, really, why? |

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and they're like, I HATE THIS SONG. o_o I heard it the other day, too... just when I thought it was dead. If we're getting technical, Gil's name in the Japanese version was Giru. It could've been romanized either way, I suppose, it's just that Natsume went in the opposite direction of the fandom (as per usual). Fin, on the other hand, is literally romanized as Fin, but Natsume felt the need to throw the extra 'n' in there and make it Finn. It is pronounced "Gill," with a hard 'g' sound, like with a fish. In Japanese, it's written as a softened "Ki," and not a softened "Shi" (which is "ji," just to throw us all off.) Plus, Jill is Pony, as far as I'm concerned. |
