I remember playing the original Sims at a friend's house. Do they still take a whole game hour to resolve when two people want to enter the same door?

Those memories are basically all I had when going in, and I can say that it's not nearly as annoying. Still annoying, but not as annoying. 'course, I could just be more patient now.

Ahh I see. They made some for consoles. Is the Sims 3 on console systems?

Nah. And to be honest, I don't see how a game like it could work too well on a console in the first place.

What company makes it won't matter as much as the amount of RAM or the graphics card. Both of which can run a fair bit of money. It's really important to check that stuff out before you buy a PC game...

I know, and my cards were fairly big in memory space
sims 2&3 have always just been a pain in the neck with that stuff some expansion packs counteracted each other and hence it froze. like for me in sims 2 the open for business one froze the bon voyage one a lot which pissed me off and I took it off cause building beaches was the only thing I liked to do haha >__> |

Did some messing around and ended up making a few Sims. I think my favorite is this one from the ol' Wonderful Life.

I finally got around to playing for about an hour. I must say, I can clearly see why the game is so addictive. Just making my sim and getting to dress him was a lot of fun D: I don't really know what all I'm doing so I'm pretty lost, but the game is really entertaining at least.
Any suggestions for a newb? I probably shouldn't have spent all my money on the house and furniture. |

Well, first thing is make your own house with your own furniture. That '64 house actually had some of the highest level stuff and ended up giving me about 3,000 from the starting spending limit for whatever the heck else could possibly ever come up. From there just go with it.

House making rocks. Now if I could stop scrapping them and make something worthwhile.

Fraser and I are designing our dream house right now hahaha, it's taken us 3 evenings so far and we haven't even started furnishing it yet. Just trying to decide on how many bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. I've made a family of the two of us and my character has like 4 of the skills mastered and I was at the top of the Science career track and I'm now at the top of the athletic career track. Fraser started out in business, mastered that, and now he's a Rock Star! It's pretty awesome. I have like 300,000 simoleans though. I find it's a lot harder to make money at the beginning of the game than it used to be, but once you get rich it's hard to spend it all... you gotta keep buying fancy cars for the new car smell hahaha.

Try writing. Holy snap is that a money maker. Easier than an actual job.
