It's a DS game. You farm on an island and as you progress with your farm you can build more things for the island, and the more habitable you make your island the more people show up.

Not really. The amount of Animal Crossing like-things pretty much ends with people moving into town.

You might want to wait for "Shining Sun and Friends", as it's (hopefully) coming out soon and is basically an updated version. I think it doesn't have the people moving in thing and some other junk.
