In Rune Factory 2. Marriage is sort of like the first one. In the sense that each girl has a different item/event you use to propose to her. To marry girls start by talking to them every day. In some cases (Like Mana and Dorothy) You also should talk to their fathers every day, as they might be part of the love events. So to get love events, you start out by raising your special girl to 1 LP (Her love points you can find by pressing start, and pressing the icon with a heart, I believe). Then there will be an event on the bulletin board from her. Clear this event. And her LP will go up a bit more. For each LP number that goes up, there's a new event. And when you have her at 10 LP and 10 FP, there will be an event where you either get the proposal item, or propose. (The only one who you propose to during the event is Cecilia I believe). In Manas case. The last event is to go get a wedding ring for her. But to do that, you must face her father. However you don't end up really fighting him. And you get the wedding ring. And then you propose. Yaaay.

However marriage honestly isn't as fun in this game as in all the other HM games. Sure, there are some cute things your wife might say (Like Rosalind) But as soon as your kid's born. BAM. All your wife will say is that you should build a school. And she'll just stay in her room all day. So you go build a school, and start out your next generation. Who can also get girlfriends (Sort of)

Really?
In my case, it's quite effective or more like that's the only thing I could give to raise his FP.
Skipjack, as far as I know, is a fall fish. So you should wait for fall to come & try fishing at either the Alvarna pond or the Port. But Im not sure whether you could catch it in the 1st Generation (Where you are right now), because according to a trusted guide I know, It's mentioned under the 2nd Generation (Where you play as your child) & it might also require a superior fishing rod, which you could only forge yourself in the 2nd Gen. after you've built a school & built a workshop (a part of the expansion after the school has been built)

Im still in the summer of the 1st Gen. so I havent really tried fishing.. Maybe you could try to fish at the aforementioned areas in the autumn & help me out too.

It doesn't necessarily go up one point each event. It just gets real close.

Don't worry about that, I'm pretty sure you only have to get Douglas to 4 FP.

Crystal_Skull: Seriously? In just a week I managed to raise his FP to 2 hearts, & that's because Im not really bothered to raise his though. It might raise even higher if I want to. You just have to talk to em everyday & give their favourite item. Did you talk to him everyday & give him Skipjack Sashimi?

Oh, Im still kinda stuck either marrying Cecilia or Yue, though I think recently Im more to Yue than to Cecilia, but who knows, the season's still long.. Preferences can change right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Lenyo: Really? I didnt know that. I thought you're gonna need 6-7 hearts? x] Thanks for the info, Dan~

^ Of course you're not the only noob one at this Rune Factory game. I didnt play the predecessor game either, just directly the second one, you see 8D
It's great to have that MOTIVATING spirit in you! GOOD LUCK~~♥

Did you mean the chest next to the farming patch just outside of the house? If it is, the answer's YEAH! It IS THE place to ship any of your things (except some special things) and to get the 100% completion if you want.
